the two questions need be separated. i believe the two communites can live together, but need to be working owards one cypriot community. They do in london's suburb of finsbury.

will there be a resolve? yes there will be but not in the near future and certainly not for the benefit of cypriots.

can greeks and turks live together what a question who cares about the greeks and turks we are cypriots not greeks and turks , and those who think we are greeks and turks they need their head examined, not only that they should ban all greek and turkish flags from the island of cyprus they should also break diplomatic ties with mainland greece and turkey, we should have a cypriot identity instead of everyone shouting we are greeks and turks,we should be proud to be cypriots. but instead all i hear is alot of uneducated morans saying we are greeks and turks from presidents to bussiness men to the common man on the street, cypriots have been slaves for thousands of years and they are no diffrent today. i m ashamed to call myself a cypriot when i look around me and see how our own people sell us out to greece and turkey, not only that they feel proud of the fact. all i know is im a cypriot i dont recognise greece or turkey. what a shame the island of cyprus is soo brainwashed they dont even know their own identity.

free, i was agreeing with you till you called us moroans. i do hold the same view as you do, however outr turksih speaking comaptriots very much want to identify as turkish so its up to the greek speaking cypriots to keep saying no to reference as Greek. I do agree with you the greek flag ought not to be flown about, that would be the start to solution, i cannot speak on behalf of turkish speaking cyp's and their willingness to forego their turkish identity for a cypriot one or wheteher they want to fly the turksih flag or not.

i say those who think they are turks or greeks they should leave cyprus and go and live in turkey or greece either way i dont care there is no room for turkish flags or greek flags on cyprus.i call everyone who thinks they are greek or turkish who are cypriots i call them morans becouse they are morans to be thinking they are greeks and turks when in truth they are just cypriots who happen to speak two languages

hey, you don't need to convince me of that. am all for it. btw i think it is spelled "morons". although i like the blue and white it looks better in Greece, as far as the turkish flag in Cyprus I see it as bullying tactics by turkey, but i have to respect those turkish speaking cyp's who support it.

all cypriots should support cyprus we are all cypriots they came to our island murdered raped and abused us for centuries they beat us up till we took their name and spoke their languages but this cannot alter the fact we are still cypriots i wish people would realize this and kick out grece turkey and britain from cyprus so we can have our island back and live in peace

I would've liked and hoped to say "yes", but after a few weeks of reading posts on this part of the forum I would have to say that if people here are a fair reflection of cypriots as a whole, then the answer would have to be categorically NO!
