Who has been Sir Alex Fergusons best signing for Man United?

There have been several I think. Cantona and Schmeichel were fantastic as was Roy Keane. For me it has to be Schmeichel.

Fergies best XI of signings

Schmeichel in goal, Paul Parker right back with Irwin left back. Pallister and Bruce cente backs. Midfield consisting of Ronaldo, Kanchelskis, Keane and Paul Ince. Upfront, Cantona and Mark Hughes.

On the bench
Van der Sar
Heinze
Rooney
McClair
Ruud Van Nistlerooy or Ole Solskjaer

Scholes, Beckham, the Nevilles and Butt dont count as they came through the ranks of ManU

Was Ince signed by fergie, not already there when he arrived?

Anyway why am i wasting my time talking about man utd, who wants to big them up anyway, everyone hates utd but i'd still rather them win the league than chelsea!

Pete

P.S: I voted for keane

Ah, yes.... I recall that now (just!) That certainly was "back in the day", when you were young and I was even younger (probably) ;)
