If any of you travel to the North then go to the Laughing Budda in Kyrenia. Its really really really authentic, you sit on a rotating table and you can have all kinds of different dishes on there and you just turn the table at your pleasure and eat what you want....

I agree with you twinkle that Massala's indian restaurant is to die for,ab fb,thought ganga's was a bit more pricey and not as nice.Have also tried taj pavillion which was scrummy aswell.Making me hungry all this talk about food.

Mind you you say you cook a mean curry drinkstar1 so maybe we could have an "Indian night" round at my house and you can come and cook,i would give you a glass of wine while cooking of course!!!!!

All of the meals suppose to be made in traditional tandoori oven (thats what they write in MENU), but they are not! they are made in microwave!! And traditional indian bread which should be tasty and delicious was disgusting - full of oil and was stinking horribly!
BTW i don't eat much as I am on a diet:) but the size of meal suprised me- wasn't enough even for a women on diet!
one more thing: prices -9 cyp is ok for a meal in restaurant but not for the starter size...

I would like to give this warning to enybody who want's to try indian food in this place on Amathus ave! Disgusting!

i have had a meal there and it was crap. what made me laugh is that we ordered 10 poppadums but they actually gave us 10 half poppadoms :?
so we actually received 5 poppadoms but paid for 10  i did point this out but the waiter just looked at me all confused like and i could not be bothered to kick off

yes avoid this place

Yummy...

The China Spice in Nicosia serves superb Chinese food and the Raj in Protaras does the same with Indian, so far they're about the best I've found... And I've tried LOTS!

We now have Flavours of India - new takeway, which opened in Jan this year.

It's in Erimi close the Bucanneer Pub and next to Becky's Travel.

My favourite Indian meal is Chicken Jalfrezi but I cannot find anything as nice as our old takeaway in UK, unfortunately.

The Jalfrezi from this new takeway is very nice, although not like the one we are used to.... Last time we took a jalfrezi and a madras and mixed the two together, which was better. Could do with a bit more sauce though, we find it gets a little hard going after a while though.

Approx £9 - £12 for 2 meals plus plain rice.

Oh, and we've heard they now deliver to Akrotiri base :-) but that's the only delivery they do at the moment.

One can sit and wait in hope, I suppose!
