Hmm after reading Humanist's post I guess my real question is are you Greek Cypriots proud of your Greek heritage? And do you Greek Cypriots also consider youselves Greeks aswell? From the Greek Cypriots I know personally all of them are proud of their Greek heritage and consider themselves Greeks aswell as Cypriots but I just want to hear your thoughts.

I've said it before, but I am a Greek Cypriot, and I feel the same strong connection with Greeks all over the world that I feel with my fellow Cypriots, including Turkish Cypriots! I feel I am a fusion of both Greek culture and the unique Cypriot and I'm very proud of that...

Can I just ask you , were you around in July 74 ? The real perpetrators of this evil act were the sick in the head nationalistic morons of the then government of a sick nation .I was never a great fan of Makarios but I accept that given the circumstances at the time , he was the one with sufficient profile to lead the people. He made the biggest miscalculation of his life by underestimating the stupidity and shortsightedness of the junta in making his famous statement of having outlived so many before them he would also outlive them. The junta was the SOLE reason that Cyprus was invaded by Turkey . You face the truth as much as it hurts . Had the brainless chickens not embarked on the military coup against the legitimate government of Cyprus , Turkey would not have invaded. Turkey was given the green light by the Greek junta , not the leftists or the right wingers but by the garbage that ruled fascist Greece .

You also seem to forget that the Zurich agreement allowed for only 900 Greek army personnel in Cyprus. Makarios insisted that the extra officers be removed since they openly rebelled against his authority as the legitimate and democratically elected president of Cyprus.

As for your pathetic comment whether fools like me in 200 years will refer to the T/Cs as our brothers let me tell you stupid , that in 2 million years from now I will still refer to the Cypriots regardless , as my brother Cypriots. Our nation , just in case you haven't been following realities IS AN INDEPENDENT NATION member of the UN and the EU ON ITS OWN MERIT . On one hand we tell the world that Cyprus is an independent sovereign nation , on the other our president goes to Greece AND CAPITULATES TO THE GOVERNEMENT OF A FOREIGN COUNTRY JUST AS THE T/CS ALSO DO TO TURKEY.

Historical facts Mr clever nationalist bullshitter is the invasion of Cyprus by Turkey following the Greek orchestrated coup against the legitimate government of Cyprus. This is a FACT . The reduction in Greek officers demanded by Makarios was a legitimate request by the internationally recognised government of the republic of Cyprus.
To suggest that I'm a disgrace to the Hellenic nation is absolute balderdash. I'm a Cypriot first and foremost , I also state clearly that my allegiance is to my nation of birth and to all Cypriots who want to be part of the only recognised independent nation of Cyprus . We have nothing but pain and suffering to endure by continuing our "marriage " to Greece just as the T/Cs are in the same position right now. I want an independent Cyprus with it's own national identity its own national anthem its own flag , just as realities demand, after all Cyprus participates in international events as an independent nation , albeit with out a real effort to practice what the government preaches by the inclusion of the other legitimate Cypriots the T/Cs.
Turkey is a powerful nation with the support of the worlds superpower , Turkey will remain in Cyprus until and only when the T/Cs demand that she leaves.

You can mutter all you want about how independent you are. To be independent truly you have to secure your independence with your military and diplomacy. Which is something you leftists NeoCypriots hate. So you will always be flaming Greeks and Greece all your life. Then when your idiotic myths of how the world works cause problems you will insult Greece for not being able to fix your monumental series of never ending cock-ups.

The Turkish Cypriots leadership and citiziens have been nothing but a bane for independent Cyprus. When they were in the Cyprus Republic they were causing deadlocks using the sabotaged constitutional system. When they left for their enclaves they just built militas for the time of the 1974 invasion. Only neocypriots are foolish enough to replace or conflate massively open treason with being a compatriot.
