We are looking for a child (3yo) friendly 2-3* hotel or apartment within walking distance of a safe beach, local shops and tavernas in Larnaca or possibly futher along the south-east coast. Any advice?

The three hotels situated on the front are the golden bay 5* the sandy and lordos i believe that the lordos is just as good and is owned by same manger who owns the sandy. i must admit these hotels are very big clean and the best in the area.

Golden bay they say is 5 star but its nothing to do with 5 star and poor service and expensive . I can cal sandy beach as 5 star and golden bay 3 star my opinion

There's also the Beau rivage, princess and palm beach along the dekhalia rd. In town try Sun Hall which is right on the beach front in the centre of town. It has a swimming pool and creche facilities and being in town is located right next to lots of kids activities on the sea front.

Thanks for the helpful suggestions but most of the hotels mentioned are 4-5* and beyond our modest budget.

Henipa on Dhekalia Rd is a 3* 24 646022. Try Sunhall 24 653341. Or Flamingo Hotel www.flamingobeachhotel.com. I'm sure you'll get cheaper than 60 a night if you call direct. The hotels are empty at the mo. Try Tripadvisor. They have links to hotel booking websites at reduced prices. Good luck.
