The fact that people have taken to the streets to say we want Turkey out they are now realising that what they can have in a United RoC is better than what they got in the last 35 years. The same way they rallied against Denktas they are rallying now against Turkey and Eroglu.

I am just proud to sit back and watch your illegal regime topple and it will. People all around the world are seeing how the free live and they want to experience it. TC's are coming around to realise what they can have rather than what they currently have.

Like I said you are entitled to your beliefs as I am to mine.

"Topple" I thing just this word alone tells us whose deluded, if a man is earning 4000 euros a month and you tell him he will be getting a rise does that make him any less wealthy? he can take to the streets and protest but again it doesnt make him any less wealthy. You wish that was the case because that fuels your misguided and biased beliefs.

people don't protest, in their tens of thousands, on the streets, for a payrise. u've lost the plot.

The main bulk of the protests not revolt imo are against the economic reforms being adopted to help support the economy. Its you GCs who believe its a "revolt" against Turkey and what they can do to cash in on such a claimed action.

Hang on a second. The T/Cs aren't protesting against the ROC. They are complaining about Erdogan's not-so-subtle plan to annex the north and turn it into a province of Anatolia.

If we have finally driven a wedge between the T/Cs and Turkey then it was a bloody good strategy. Unfortunately I don't think our leaders are that cunning. If you want to blame anyone for the T/Cs current predicament I'd look no further than your own leaders, your own complicity in advancing Turkey's cause on the island and for believing that Turkey actually came to rescue you from the big bad Greeks.

If you hadn't been so dumb you would now be partners in a flourishing wealthy progressive democratic ROC within the EU. Instead you threw your lot in with Turkey and Denktash's obnoxious plans to create an illegal state in the north. Without a care that you were exploiting our property and land in the process.

So now you are paying a heavy heavy price. "Societal existence" no less. Don't say we didn't warn you. Despite this it's never too late to repent your sins. Good luck with overthrowing the regime in the north. You're going to need it.

bir is right, if we are talking about class warfare, "Greeks" want control of all of Cyprus, "Turks" just want control of the Turks. But this debate is in a world where People are Persons; their Individuality is decided within these mono clonal lots.

...is this the case?

only if we are not Citizens of the World, or without a Family of Man...

...if we, Cypriots, cannot recognise the need for a definition to the word Bicommunal which can be generalised, emulated by the rest of Mankind, then Multiculturilism is not a failure, we are the failure. "Greeks" and "Turks" are an important element in our respective societies. However, their "right" to our agenda is not an exclusiveity. Needless to say, we, the Greeks and Turks (etc.) must recognise that our power is in changing the debate to permit the possibility that as Individuals of whatever creed and colour, we stand united for Universal Principals. And in Cyprus as Persons we sustain our needs as Persons as well.

did you say squeezing?...your elected leader begs to differ with you...

President Dervis Eroglu is happy to see the continuation of motherland Turkey’s close interest and sympathy towards the TRNC and the Cyprus Turkish People. Evaluating his contacts in Istanbul upon his return, the President said he held positive contacts in the Turkish city that proved Turkey’s tenderness towards Cyprus Turks.

During his stay in Istanbul, President Eroğlu met with journalists and also gave a conference at the Beykent University.

In his speech at the conference, Eroğlu said that bilateral relations with Turkey consist of brotherhood and not of self-interests.

On the negotiations process, he stressed that the continuation of Turkey’s active and effective guarantor position in Cyprus was among the red lines of the Cyprus Turkish Side.

“I have been working for the perpetuation of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. Cyprus Turks should continue to exist as independent and sovereign people” the President stressed.

Criticizing the Greek Cypriot Side for playing for time at Cyprus talks, he repeated once again that the Turkish side can’t resume negotiations for another 30 years.
