GG, I have just returned from Cyprus and it is a gorgeous place. Very interesting to say the least. I would suggest that you try and do some sightseeing. I am not sure who you are visiting, but if you are going to be on yur own I would recomend you get to a tourist office and get a couple of free maps and brochures on Cyprus.

This is my recomended itenary for you

Day 1 Larnaca,
Breakfast along Phinikoudes strip
Visit the Sultan Teke
Salt Lake
Kamares

Day Two head for Lemesos

on the way stop at Tenda
Hirokition
Arrive @ lemesos spend the day doing a bit of shoping and lunch at the old town
visit Lemesos Castle

Day 3 Head for paphos
stop at Kolosi Castle
Head to Temple of Apolo
There is also an amphitheatre which I cannot recall the name of at the moment

by the time you arrive to paphos you;ll be stuffed so chill out at your hotel and call my friend Kafenes.

Paphos s full of clubs bars etc for a drink if you wish to do so

Day 4

Visit the Toombs of the Kings
and other ancient ruins in the area.

Day 5

Drive to the baths of Aphrodite near Akamas

Day 6 Head to Nicosia via Trodos mountains
you need to start early it tales about 3 hours.
park you car and try walk around the old Nicosia town there are some galleries in the old gates.
When driving please note that the roads a usually one way each direction and Cypriots do not value their lives :)

Try and have a souvlaki by the little souvlakithiko near Agalma Solomou

you can stay in Nocosis for the night or drive back to Larnaca (if staying in Larnaca I would recomend a small hotel Livadiotis you can book them via the net www.bookcyprus.com you get a discount if booking thru them).

Day 7

Cross the checkpoint at Ledra Palace Hotel for a visit to the occupied area of Lefkosia. Where you will experience the differnece between the communities but also get a feel of what Cyprus used to be like 20 years or so.

Day 8

Chill out in Larnac a till you fly out.

Have a nice wonderful and safe Cyprus holiday.
