The most biased turkish site, the best nest of turkish propaganda.

And what did Marcos said? He said "Turks out of Cyprus". Well, what's wrong with that? Don't we want Turks, turkish occupation troops out of Cy? Don't we want all those anatolian settlers who were shiped to Cy deliberately, out of Cy?
He didn't say "Tcs out of Cyprus".

I don't see why should someone get offended or call Marcos remarks racist.

"Turks out of Cyprus".

Actually, the US congress has said the same thing recently, and this is from a country that is the best friend that Turkey has, or at least use to have. We may see some change of policy towards Turkey after the Democrats get into power in November.

Shall I take it as a clever question or not? :?

Tcs are CyR/EU citizens.

It's times like this that I feel ashamed to say that I'm just Cypriot.

And people wonder why Greek flags are banned at Australian Tennis Tournaments.

Well done Australia I say.

I've chanted that many times duing the anti-occupation marches when i was at school. I'll go and inform the wife she married a thug....might get her excited.

Gabira, if you feel Cypriot then you should be proud that Marcos made our tiny island known to the world.
But I guess the purpose of your post is another and way far from the fact that you...feel (imish) ashamed.

Now the incident you describe with the Greek flags have nothing to do with Marcos. It didn't take place at any of Marcos games.

P.S. Marcos is playing his second game in Australia right now. Good luck Marcos, make us proud once again.

Shame that Marcos is bringing politics into sports. I like him as a player and always supported him when I watched televised games. I don't know if I'll be supporting him next time his on court on a televised game.

the Hellas Fan Club are the guys that do all the chanting and cheering in his games in Australia. He wanted to thank them so went to their clubhouse. A bunch of 20 year olds chanting against the Turkish invasion.

I guess he thought this was a way of thanking his young supporters. I'd be happy if he made an announcement to clear matters for the benefit of his neutral supporters.

I hope he is well advised by his team not to get too involved in politics, at least not during his tennis career.
