Phoenix , let me put you straight as exactly where I stand .
I do not consider the T/Cs as corrupt , on the contrary since I happen to know hundreds , not just one or two but hundreds , and in my personal and business life I have met ONE only T/C that I would call corrupt , a well known individual on the run from UK Justice. Now let me tell you that I have met a great deal more corrupt G/Cs including a Nicosia lawyer whom I had the misfortune of meeting . I attack any view that has as its sole purpose the partition of our island , therefore when I attack Zan's and VPs views I m not attacking them but ther partitionist views.Let me also state quite clearly that I consider the G/C fanatics along with the Greek junta as the main parties responsible for inviting Turkey to Cyprus.
Let me also state that I believe that the T/Cs DID suffer and DID have to run for their lives under the threat of extremists from mostly the G/C site . I know that the aim of their leadership was the partition of our island but I'm convinced that the extremists from the G/C side played in their hands.
What matters now is the creation of an atmosphere where good will , mutual respect and appreciation of each others concerns is of paramount importance not by proving and challenging views that have the opposite effect. I as an individual have build a tiny bridge that allows me to reach out and embrace my compatriots .Try it your self it might help the Cyprob , you current views and " attacks" are not the least constructive but rather damaging I would say !

I do like this thread though..........The more you guys deny what happened to us the more you make us unite......

Zan , I do not for one moment consider that T/C villages were not damaged , burned out etc. However when you mention REPORTS from UNFICIP that appear on a propaganda Turkish site , you must also offer the link to those reports . Having searched UN archives on Google and Yahoo I have not been successful in finding those reports. Further more since , at least as far as I'm concerned , the only thing that matters is for the extremists to re assess their goals and prioritise the interests of all Cypriots and of the new generation of Cypriots to come. A constant referral to bitterness and conflict serves only the interests of the fanatics and not the well being of all Cypriots.

Miltiades

I go by peoples actions not just by what they say.

All my encounters with TCs have had a final outcome of a parting of the ways ... because no matter how sweet the things they said to me were ... in the end, they all wanted partition and the free goodies that has given them.

I knew them before 1974 when they had nothing ... and I know a lot of them now are fat and happy and have regular holidays in their second, easily acquired homes in the "TRNC" ... so don't tell me I am the one harming the solution for the Cyprus Problem.

Open your eyes ... "the last thing a Turk ever does is stab you in the back!"

They have not finished with us yet Miltiades.

The report clearly says 109 village's. What do you want Zan to do? Name them all?

And how is it "completely irrelevant" to what Rafaella asked :?: :?: :?: :?: :?:

@Forget it Zan, its just not worth the effort with these guys.

I will still try and find the names of he villages anyway kardesim......They are funny people here though and Miltiades getting n his high horse about numbers when the numbers he quotes come straight out of GC propaganda books is just mind blowing...200,000 refugees. 6000 total dead in 74 all blamed on Turkey....and so on.....

If nothing else then the TCs here can see how these people think and believe me when I nearly never spoke to my brother again because I was arguing for these people........

Militiadis, you are participating in this list for what, months? Everyday you are having arguments with a bunch of turkish yobs in which their main proposition is "ethnic cleansing is good" and you are loosing. Have you ever wondered why that is?

Agreed in principle but not in practice..This is not about hate but of respect for peoples suffering and it seems that until the GCs realise what happened hey will carry on believing that they have every right to dismiss my peoples rights on the island as afforded by the Zurich Agreement. Understanding is essential and the EOKA terrorist president and the female version in the education secretary are responsible for the way these people think......
