That's the spirit George. At least he can see the bigger picture. He is not in some wonderland with his head stuck up his own backside.

It is the likes of George that will finally bring peace and tranquility back to my beautiful island. Respect George.

Your mutual respect for mammon is sad to behold; because those that are of the opinion money will do everything, may well be suspected of doing everything for money.

The beautiful island will only be spoilt by the likes of such as yourselves.

You seem to have some kind of problem with money. I wonder if its the abundance of money or lack of it with you.

I really don't understand how the likes of me can spoil a country that is already in ruins. The financially strong can only make positive contributions, and George has the right idea. Furthermore I put my life on it that the final settlement will only be achieved with tons and tons of dollars. Aaaaah money, there is nothing it cannot buy

Oracle, Too answer your question I'm not an estate agent. I just want the problem solved. If you think Turkey is going to agree to the country being handed back you are living in dream land. We may as well take what we can in respect of land. The GC's that lose their land in the North should be compensated by Turkey and then both people can get on with their life.

Do you think the current situation is acceptable. Do you actually believe Paps wants a solution?

Even more respect George. I wonder what percentage of the GC population George is representative of? This is a man with vision and is very much in touch with reality.

This should be a wake up call to the likes of Piratis, Kikapu, Phoenix and oracle.

I think agreed partition and the right of both GCs and and TCs to live on which ever side they wish as we cannot run a country together, we have shown lack of vision or understanding and clearly from what we have read on this forum no side is willing to compromise therefore we would make a mess of it, if we were ever forced to unite.

Viewpoint,

Spot on their as you stated neither side is willing to compromise on any of the issues so what you are proposing sounds good GC's/TC's that want to return should be allowed those that dont should be compensated. In the North by Turkey in the south by the rebublic of cyprus. Their is no point trying to force a solution on both sets of people.

No matter what assurances are given by both side people will always look to the past. I really dont want partition but it cant carry on as it is.

When the North does finally join Europe the country will be unified under the EU banner anyway.

Kikapu,

Why do you have to have a go at MR-from-NG. I asked the question and gave my opinion and he has replied. It just goes to show we cant even have a conversation online with out insulting each other. How do you expect the country to be unified with attitudes like this. He is only stating his opinion.

I know he can be very provoking sometimes but today he has been honest and realistic. Their is no need for this.
