Paphitis

Do you know, if he continues to win (Phhttoo, skordo sta matia sou :D ), whether he is likely to come up against Andy Murray?

I may have to prepare for a domestic....

If he beats Novak Djokovic, then he would be through to the Quarter Finals and will meet the winner between Andy Roddick V's Tommy Robredo.

If Marcos wins his Quarter Finals game then he could be playing Andy Murray in the Semi Finals, provided Andy Murray wins his round 3 match against Jurgen Melzer and then defeats Fernando Verdasco in round 4 and also wins his Quarter Finals tie.

Marcos Baghdatis and Andy Murray could meet in the Semi Finals.

Start preparing for your domestic....

BTW, what does Phtoo, skordo sta matia sou mean? Is that some kind of good luck thing/superstition?

My (Greek) mum says "Garlic in your eyes", as a superstitious neutraliser, to prevent jinxing (amati) when you say something good about a possible future outcome.

So I will forecast, without doubt, that Andy Murray will get through because he is such a good player and deserves to win!

...... No jinxing intended for the dear Scot

 When you said you were preparing for a domestic, you weren't kidding.

I hope your husband does not read the forum.

Andy Murray defeated Jurgen Melzer of Austria today and is through to round 4. He will play Fernando Verdasco of Spain, who is ranked 15th in the ATP rankings.
