ANDROS KYPRIANOU NEW SG OF AKEL

Postby Bananiot » Wed Jan 21, 2009 6:18 pm

AKEL has a new Secretary General as from now. He is Andros Kyprianou who beat Nicos Katsourides 57 - 48 in a vote that took place in the Central Committee of the party. Andros Kyprianou supported solution in 2004, if this means anything.

He's a very likeable guy, quite witty, and a former Badminton champ so I suspect he had your support at least for that too... :)

He was my doubles partner. We won the all Cyprus championships in 1983 and 1984. Here is the photo to prove it.

Another so-called progressive in this archaic, time-warped party. Soon he'll be as stale as Ezekias.

Kyprianou was the favorite of Christofias. Christofias let his tongue loose a few weeks ago, and skillfully "buried" Katsourides, in favor of Kyprianou. In Christofias fiction planet, if someone downs himself a couple of times into a nightclub, opens a bottle of champagne in a bar, smokes 3 cigars in public -irrespective of them being Cuban ones, and compliments or flirts 2-3 times with some ladies; he does not have a clean record in the society, and therefore not suitable to lead the missionary of Christian prudes, monks and nuns that is called Akel. Needless to say that even the stones knew he was “picturing” Katsourides as the "unsuitable" to lead the missionary of prudes. Kyprianou, to be Christofias’ favorite, must be sharing the same ideas, views and "values." Today, Christofias let his tongue loose again, and spoke about Akel at the time he took over in 1988, when the party went through many roughs, and even faced the danger of a "sect," but then it managed to overcome.

What he supported was dissolution. Solution means for us to be returned our land and be given back our human and democratic rights. This is not what was proposed in 2004 and this is why the Cypriot people rejected this dissolution.

Kyprianou is good in following orders from above. This is why Christofias choose him.
