The movement for an independent Crete has picked up momentum in the last 2-3 years, and if history is anything to go by once the seed of independence has been implanted into the youth it becomes a matter of time before trouble flares up…

do you blame them?...enough is enough when it comes to be ruled by a couple idiotic dynasties year after year...

Greece has been full of empty promises to her people all based on mythological bollocks and today the average Greek is slowly starting to wonder…

Never could understand how the proud Cretan nation has put up with living under Athenian rule for so long. God how I'd envy the Cretans if they managed to secure full independence - first from the Ottoman Turks and now from the modern Greeks - and a seat at the EU table;

I think the deep rooted Cretan gripe has been the overall undermining of their superior Minoan ancient ancestry, in favor of the mainland Mycenaeans because Greece would never have it any other way… :lol:
