Agree, you've seen places that many of us dream about.

Demetriou, London is a dirty dump, and thats a fact, not opinion. Go out and have a look around properly, hava a look at how many yellow police signs you see saying "CAN YOU HELP". Have a look at how many whinos, homeless people, drug abusers you see, read the local paper and see how many different crimes there are in your area alone, the realise that this happens all over London. Have a look at prices on products in London then go further North and you'll see the same product 25% cheaper.

I am convinced that I have made the right decision to live in Cyprus. No regrets!

Good for you Hazza. I also think that Cyprus is the greatest place to live in despite all the disadvantages. I hope to return back myself in a couple of years if I can find a nice Computing/IT related job.

Bandar Seri Begawan

Nicosia
Zurich
Frankfurt
Paris
Brussels
Milan
Athens

The following are on my possibles list, but preferably in a village 10 - 25 km outside:
Edinburgh
Singapore
Kuala Lumpur
Kuching
Osaka/Kyoto
Lausanne
Toulouse
Seattle
San Diego
Salzburg

I also agree with everything you said Devil. I had the 'pleasure' of living and working in London for almost 4 years in another life and, although the first year was all good, new surroundings and all, it quickly becomes tiresome and you realise what a soulless, rat-infested dump it really is. I grew to loath my daily trips on the tube, being asked for money by drop-outs, 'sloane ranger' types saying every was faaaaaaaaaabulous etc. etc. etc. My verdict: great to visit, but not to live in.

Amazed at your list of places... I've never come across anyone who's been to Bandar Seri Begawan before... How is the Sultan these days? Definitely add Lagos and Johannesburg to your list. From your 'wish list', from my experience I'd agree with Seattle and Lausanne. Also add Vancouver and Calgary to that...

yeah, Canada and Australia seem to be the most common answers, for some reason. Thats what I usually hear here as well. :-)

It is probably because these countries are quite rich and have no sides in politics, they just mind their own business! And that makes them peaceful, one of the many reasons to stay in a place!

he. well live in a tiny island all on your own when nobody can get you.

a lil story.. i was with a bunch of mates last friday and we were going 2 a party. while at the station 15 kids came up to us and 1 pulled a knife and asked forour phones. we wormed our way out of it and then later on they stated chasin us. we were running for about 20 mins. that was one of the best nights we had out. and as for the tramps who cares?? and the crime keeps you alert. i would rather be scared to death then be bored to death
