Have a great time, Manchester flights are generally but I'm sure not exclusively on Sundays for weekend departures. For 18 & 21 year olds who presumably have more life in them than a wrinkly like me I would agree Ayia Napa and or Protaras centre.
Your Budget should get you a good holiday in Sept / Oct and you are wise, August is very Hot sometimes unbearably so when coupled with high relative humidity. Hope you enjoy yourselves.

last minute to cyprus. does not exist. my mate paid £360 pounds a day before his flights last year. this was around early august. plus most planes are fully booked from now till september

They don't exixt at places like Cyplon, but if you look at teletxt, you WILL find something cheap at the destination you want.

Exactly, might be allocation on arrival, but if you only need somewhere to crash it's fine that way.
