Or at least that's what a friend of mine was told by someone who works for him... or something.

I thought this forum was about Cyprus, not a forum for provoking fear and hatred, even if it is against minority groups who are apparently able to equip themselves with limitless free televisions at the expense of the state. Surely the asylum seekers are missing a trick if they are throwing TVs out of windows - why don't they sell them and claim they were stolen? In fact I'm sure I heard some suggestion along those lines on Asylum Heaven FM last night.

My father was a refugee from Cyprus, but he was only issued with a crappy old radio when he queued up to fleece the Government back then. Mind you, he made a mint out of the UK benefit system and now he's a property developer in Cyprus, fleecing witless ex-pats.

Just what this forum doesn't need - another member who THINKS he is funny.

Alex, you're not funny, quite the opposite! You paint a shitty picture of both you and your father!

Fleecing the government, at the taxpayers expense is nothing to joke about!

No, but I suppose it needs a racist bigot who has nothing better to do with his sad little life than (try to ) spread fear and hatred...

I don't think anything to do with asylum or refugees is funny, and I find it deeply unpleasant that there are people spouting the kind of views that you have, justified by half-baked stories. I reassure myself that the vast majority find your kind of views laughable, as has been demonstrated in London this week by the solidarity shown against extremists who want to divide, create fear and hatred and destroy.

Don't come onto a Cypriot forum and slag off refugees unless you are quite comfortable showboating your considerable ignorance. Visit the BNP website and you can debate this with your peers and sympathisers, and leave the real world in peace.

You are obviously another sad taxpayer with his head in the sand.......quite happy to fork out for ayslum seekers who are raping the country by milking the system!

I'm not a racist, for your information. I'm all for helping other people, but when they start to take advantage and abuse the help they recieve, it's time to put your foot down.

Yawn... go and put your foot down on the BNP messageboard rather than trolling this one. There is currency there for the lies you spread, and the participants have such dismally low intelligence that they might believe you. It's standard practice for tax-dodging ex pats to "milk the system" by the way, as I'm sure you well understand.

You need to ask yourself why you hate so much - it's usually down to fear, and/or ignorance. I would prefer to try to help you educate yourself, but your abusive and angry disposition probably rules that out.

Go and read about the history of Cyprus and then you might appreciate a little better the kind of issues that asylum seekers face (although they pale by comparison with somewhere like Rwanda).

He'll never learn Alex so there's no point communicating with him. Just do what I did and copy the thread to admin...

Sadly, I know you're right. Shouldn't let it wind me up, but I find it hard to cope with people who get their values fed to them by the British tabloids and don't make the effort to develop their own awareness, let alone their intelligence.

Working in London, I'm quite sensitive to this sort of crap at the moment, and fortunately there seems to be little tolerance for this sort of crap.

its your opinion and not fact that as's are bleeding britain dry.

in fact it could be said that ex-pats like you are bleeding britain dry by taking your money out of britain and spending it in cyprus.

according to the eu britain has a healthy economy, i asked if anyone has any info regarding any funds that britain may be re-embursed. i dont think the british govt are going to foot the bill for all these people and then go to the country at the next election and say vote for us again, and we'll waste even more of your money.

Not trying to be a jerk but isn't it every free person's right to spend his/her money where and how they want? After all, they earned it.
