Another outrage took place yesterday. One in Yemen. Doesn't make the front pages.

37 poor souls murdered by a car-bomb.

"... At least 37 people have been killed and 66 others injured by a bomb blast outside a police academy in Yemen's capital, Sanaa, police say.

Two men were seen getting out of a minibus and walking away shortly before it exploded beside dozens of people queuing to enrol at the academy.

Afterwards, body parts and debris from the bus were strewn across the street.

There has so far been no claim of responsibility, but an offshoot of al-Qaeda has carried out similar attacks. ..."

Governments the world around should swiftly move against anyone and anything inciting religious hatred.

We'll either learn from the small lessons of today or pay heavily in the future when Christian vs. Muslim riots break out all over Europe and the whole region turns into a bloody chaos while the Jews are rubbing their hands!

It’s up to each and every one of us to start using our intellect and foresight or climb on the racist bandwagon and just blame the other side for everything!

The Catholic Church has copped an enormous amount of ridicule, and yet we do not see them rampaging through the streets killing innocent people.

Freedom of Speech is what the Western World is all about, and that is NOT gonna change!

The Jews on the other hand have always been at the Front Line of this, and so has Cyprus and Greece. These are the countries that will be hit the hardest.

Greece was responsible for the defeat and destruction of an entire Eastern Empire (Persian) to save the Western World, and now it's time for other countries to pull their weight and protect our way of life.

United States free speech exceptions

Hate speech laws in France:

“The Law on the Freedom of the Press of 29 July 1881 guarantees freedom of the press, subject to several prohibitions. Article 24 prohibits anyone from publicly inciting another to discriminate against, or to hate or to harm, a person or a group for belonging or not belonging, in fact or in fancy, to an ethnicity, a nation, a race, a religion, a sex, or a sexual orientation, or for having a handicap. The penalty for violating this prohibition is up to a year of imprisonment and a fine of up to €45,000, or either one of those, as well as the suspension of some civil rights in some cases.

Articles 32 and 33 prohibit anyone from publicly defaming or insulting a person or group for belonging or not belonging, in fact or in fancy, to an ethnicity, a nation, a race, a religion, a sex, or a sexual orientation, or for having a handicap. The penalty for defamation is up to a year of imprisonment and a fine of up to €45,000, or either one of those punishments. The penalty for insult is up to six months of imprisonment and a fine of up to €22,500, or either one of those punishments.”

Had the French government cracked down on offensive material against Christians or Muslims those 12 people would be alive today.

I hope the remaining EU members learn from this and start applying the law.

You’d think that a professional publisher would know their country’s law on racism and abide by it but alas… their ignorance proved to be their own undoing!

Does it also condemn someone to death for changing or abandoning a religion?

Does it also condemn someone to death for daring to criticize a religious belief ?
Is it a crime punishable by death to attend school ?

Is it a crime to sentence someone to death by stoning for the crime of infidelity ?

Does the use of mobile phones by women constitute a crime ?

Mate, you have a serious mental issue if you compare the freedoms in the west with the theocratic bullshit of Islamic nations.

You can add to that list the fact they will now have more "supporters" - people who are really just afraid to speak against these actions for fear of such reprisals.

Actually, you can find pretty hateful things written and said about atheists by devotees of the God delusion. I just laugh when I hear these things and feel pity for such people who are mentally stuck in a primitive era. I do not feel any urge as an atheist to kill those who make such remarks. That is because I have the courage of my convictions.
Criticising/mocking religion is not racism.

And since when is a satirical cartoon of slapstick drawings a contravention of any of these laws?

It seems to me that certain sections of the Islamic People need to enter the 21st century.

Heads of State and Governments have been the brunt of their jokes.

I would love to see the whole of humanity liberated from the backwardness and ignorance known as religion - in fact, I am certain it will be at some distant time. What is racist about that?
