The National Unity Party Nicosia District Office has decided to propose UBP leader Dervis Eroglu for the Presidential candidacy.

Expressing his excitement over the decision, Mr. Eroglu said his certain candidacy would only be announced after a decision of the party assembly.

The expanded informative meeting of the UBP which was organized by the UBP Nicosia District Office was held at the Near East University yesterday.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Dervis Eroglu delivered a detailed speech where he also touched upon the Cyprus negotiations process.

Stating that it will not be the Turkish Side which will give concessions at the negotiations table even if the basis of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus is strong, Mr. Eroglu said, at the 19th of April elections, the TRNC people expressed that it will not accept just any solution.

Explaining that the Turks of Cyprus are not without any alternative against the Greek Cypriot leader Demetris Christofias’ thesis, the TRNC Premier said we have our own state and there is no objection to declare this.
