Victory for Mr Anastaiades Party

Postby michalis5354 » Mon Jun 14, 2004 2:20 pm

Mr Anastasiades Party the party who supported the UN plan has achieved a great success in the last elections and now it is the leading party! How can this being explained ? I am delighted to read this news today.

If people were disatisfied about his support on the UN plan anyone could expect his votes to diminish rather than increase In fact It has managed to increase its power!

I am afraid for once more you give misleading information. (or you simply have no clue). The success for DISI was that they managed not to totally collapse, and not that they increased their power. They actually lost power.

Here are the results of the EU elections:
http://www.euroelections2004.gov.cy/

Here are the results of the last(2001) parliament elections:
http://www.ekloges.com.cy/nqcontent.cfm ... e&a_id=712

DISI (Anastasiades Party) last parliamentary elections got 34% and in the EU elections 28.23% thats almost 7% less. Where did you see the increase?? The only reason that DISI is now first is that AKEL lost even more.

The only parties that increased their power are DIKO (papadopoulos) and EDEK (EDEK from 6.51% to 10.79%!!!) parties that clearly supported the "NO" vote (unlike AKEL who's "no" was not that clear, especially considering that Eleni Mavrou and Takis Hatzigeorgiou and some others of its members were going around the channels supporting "yes"). I voted AKEL in 2001 but this time I voted EDEK. I hope they got their lesson, or worst days will come for them.

So michalis, keep your misleading information in other areas. When we are talking with exact numbers you can not mislead anybody no matter how much you would like to.

I do not mislead anyone here. Even your sites shows Disi (Anastasiadis) party first and then comes the Akel etc.

I am glad these guys who tried to divide the party have been withdrawn as they were there just to create problems and divide Dusi and nothing else. Disi will even become even stronger in future. Because is not just there for the chair only!

I don't know why you insist then we talk with numbers.

And again you are inaccurate:
I am glad these guys who tried to divide the party have been withdrawn as they were there just to create problems and divide Dusi and nothing else.

Who withdrew? They got 10.8% and they elected one member in the EU parliament.

Disi will even become even stronger in future.

Disi it seems will stay about where it is, because even if its supporters disagree with their leadership in many matters they still vote for them so they will do their favors (rousfeti).
