my first trip to cyprus any advice

Postby maggie27 » Sun Jul 17, 2005 7:07 pm

hiya every one, me and my husband are going to cyprus in 2 weeks time how much roughly wud u call aceptible spending money we are currently going with £1000 for 2 weeks wud this be enough or wud we need more then that, is normal day to day spending any more dear then in the uk or is it roughly the same, bear in mind like any holiday maker we do intend to have a few drinks lol, and some good nights out,
any suggestions for any good places to have a good time in the vacinity of limmasol,
just another question, has anyone stayed in the crusader beach hotel and what is it like we just found out last week from another forum that this is one of the worst hotels to stay in but obviously it is to late to change hotels now, there reckon the staff are very rude and there only smile and say hello to u just before u leave so that there are hoping to get a tip, there wont serve u drinks and always hum and har, the meals apparantly are disgusting and the toilets are never cleaned the rooms are very untidy, CAN ANYONE WHO HAS BEEN TO THIS HOTEL SHED ANY LIGHT AND IF SO HAVE ANY PICS TO SHOW I AM FLYING OUT FROM THE UK IN 2 WEEKS TIME AND THE THOUGHT OF MY SO LOOKED FORWARD HOLIDAY CUD NOT BE THE HOLIDAY I HAVE WISHED FOR,
MANY THANKS
MARGARET AND KELVIN,

Did you check with your travel agency whether its really to late to rebook?

The island itself is lovely! Beautiful weather, nice beaches, friendly people, interesting sights to visit, good nightlife, marvellous food....
I'm sure you will like it.

No sorry, I haven't been there. If you do a google search for pics - there is plenty:

i was over last year and i thought things were ok my advice is to become a regular at a shop bar etc and wait to till the PR lads approach you with free drinks shots etc before you go in and be friendly im still in touch with people i met 15 years ago
