Hot NEW topic for the C44 carpetbaggers!

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby Gasman » Tue Feb 02, 2010 1:58 am

Did anyone here ever play the Monkey Island pc games? Where the Pirates had to speak to each other in insulting rhyme? This thread reminded me of that and it did make me laugh. Perhaps it should be a forum rule that, if you are going to be abusive, it has to be in rhyme?

I am now imagining the Cyprus 'talks' being conducted in the same fashion lol! Probably be just as productive.

No it's still ours you, little snake.
And trespass is the law you break.

So you 'bought' cheap... and now you're on the run.

And blow me down, its price just hit the floor!

You'll fall all right, like the price of your shack,
So book the freight firm and start to pack.

And as for rhymes, yours don't even scan.
They're blotchy and uneven, just like your tan.

So leave the ditties to those who can deliver.
Get back to your Efes while you've still got the liver.

And now I'll leave you, you British scum,
As the law will leave you... without a crumb.

i say the bard grows, hurrah!
blame has a song.
like birds the chirping in the trees
has its carress in the wind
of change, indeed

i salute the courage
in my mind an act of joy
to see minds working
is a beautiful thing

cheers!
, thanks guys.
...but OP with her bag of shit
few words
hers has the big slice of cake
i think.

Land of the loud mouth Greek hating Turk and British
And the little town of Limassol were the boys walk hand in hand
Keo gut and Cyprus sore
We will return no more
Kokinelli kokinelli kokinelli

Even after 40 years the song still seems apt.

I remeber one incident where we were told to stop refering to the Greeks as Goat shaggers, after that we referred to them as Not Goat Shaggers

I presume the Homer you are referring to is Homer Simpson?

"You’re so full of bull…"

Abdul the Bulbul, you’re so full of bull…
For you have come to take what’s mine!
But I care not for your little rhyme…
And warn you not to waste your time or dime!
For as sure as hell is your decline…
As our ancient ancestors are divine!
So it’s back to old Blighty to get a spine…

My property you have for such little cost
Shouldn't be something that you'ld wanna boast

Cause very soon your short lived farce
Will bounce back straight up your ....
