I support the Western world because the alternative is hell. It does not howver mean that I support foreign policies that are totally unrealistic.

The history of the ME is clear enough, democracy is not the least compatible with the aspirations of ME people , democracy, human rights and freedom as we know it in the west simply can not function in these countries any more than sharia law can work in the west.

All these nations throughout their history have been ruled by totalitarian dictatorships, be it a kingdom or dictatorship.

Their worst enemy is their demonic interpretation of their religion.

“The UN has called for action to prevent what it says may be a possible massacre in the northern Iraqi town of Amerli.”

Once again.
Self destructive.

Reminds me of a quote from a song: 'Give 'em guns, step back, watch 'em kill each other'

The majority of its residents are Turkmen Shia, seen as apostates by IS

The west, and in particular the USA, ought to take immediate action to remove once and for all these barbaric savages. In the 21st century we can not possibly tolerate such disgusting savages. Here is one, a female at that whose ambition is to be the first woman to behead a westerner.

Here you see the sheer brutality shown by these savages.

it is unfortunate to have to raise this abstruse question about Sharia law but, because Islamic State have resurrected the Middle Ages here and now in 2014, this is no longer an academic point. The poor people in Amerli risk in the UN representatives word being 'massacred' - in my view, the wholesale killing of a group of people because they belong to one ethnic or religious group is genocide and it should be termed as this - because Islamic State regards them, as Shiites, as being kafirs. What puzzles me is whether they get the chance to convert first or not. The Yezidis are also deemed to be kafirs by these brutes and so worthy of slaughter on the spot, but I have seen footage of a group of Yezidis (all men) being converted to Islam at gunpoint, although other Yezidis appear to have fallen victim to genocide. So what is the deal with Shiites in the view of a Sunni fundamentalist bent on imposing Sharia? Do they get slaughtered on the spot or given the chance to convert to orthodox Sunni Islam first? Is it because they are they deemed to be apostates that they are denied this option? Any apologists for Sharia care to give an explanation?

I really hope some force out there comes to the rescue of the people of Amerli before it is too late.

I am afraid the real world is harsh tim. america armed and trained these swine in syria to depose assad and they moved in to iraq instead. i am afraid yet again amerika is causing havoc in this part of the world and all because of oil. shame on them all.

and of course now they are going to arm the kurds in iraq qnde now doubt these arms will end up in the hands of the pkk. when 10s of thousands more are killed in terkey of course america will deny all knowledge of what they have done just like they did with taliban and alqaida.
