I hate to say this, but...

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Take note greek cypriots, your economy is not good, you need every tourist pound that you can get, if you start to behave like your turkish cypriot brothers & sisters then you may attract tourists like me!

Better stay iN UK- It needS your pounds much more than ROC!

yep .. absolutely, equal citizens ..and can also add that have given up eating tissy baby.

That is not enough...you have to promise that if you see any TC being murdered by GCs you would put your life on the line to save him/her....Like any selfrespecting TC would do...

I'm English, I have no bias towards Greeks or Turks - I love ALL Cypriots, they all treated myself and my family so well when I was in Cyprus - YOU SHOULD BE SO PROUD TO BE CYPRIOTS, YOU HAVE THE BEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD...FORGET GREECE, FORGET TURKEY....YOU ARE CYPRUS, YOU ARE THE BEST! Cyprus does not belong to Greece or Turkey, you are Cyprus and you should should be proud to be Cypriots!

Rastan, you are a stirring bullshit artist just like the ones who started the Cyprus conflict.

Kafenes, I sincerely am not a stirring bullshit artist, and I resent that accusation - I admit I previously made a post on this forum that was offensive to GC's (I was drunk at the time and I apologised).

I say with 100% honesty, that I love Cyprus and Cypriots, you have a wonderful country & you should be proud to be Cypriots - I know the government of my country is partly responsible for the Cyprus problem, but I was just a baby when that happened, surely you don't blame me?

How can you possibly accuse me of stirring when I voice my opinion that Cyprus should reunite asap and try to forget the past? Just to make sure you understand what I am saying I will say it again. I love all GC's & TC's, they all treated my family so well during my recent holiday to Cyprus - THE TIME HAS COME TO FORGET THE DISTINCTION, THERE ARE NO LONGER GREEK CYPRIOTS & TURKISH CYPRIOTS, ONLY CYPRIOTS....ALL CYPRIOTS ARE THE SAME! You all are such really nice people, you must pressure your leaders to stop this stupid one upmanship bullshit & just become one Cyprus....that's what every "normal" citizen of Cyprus wants anyway, as far as I can tell from talking to lots of GC's & TC's.

Anyway, seems everyone is apologising here - I apologise for the actions of the British government in helping the Cyprus problem to arise, & then taking no action whatsoever to help solve the crisis.....but rest assured I have personally taken an interest in the beautiful island of Cyprus, I will return year after year for holidays & I will ecourage everyone I know to visit Cyprus.....you are the best people, you have so much to be proud of, never forget that!

Maybe the ones starting the conflict were drunk, just like you, at the time. Anyway, appology accepted. :)

BTW, I am neither a GC or a TC, I am a C.

...and a multilingual one to boot.

Kafenes, I reckon you to be the most 'polyglot' of all forumers present, maybe with the exception of Raimanov. But he wont understand Turkish - I think.

Deniz, my Turkish is terrible and very rusty. No practice at all, just words flying in my head. Get yourself over here soon, I need some lessons. :)

I am trying Kafenes. Unfortunately due to my retiring at christmas I have many problems to solve. My Christmas/newyear trip has been indefinitely cancelled. I may be there just before easter.
