British Bases; baby Blues ...

Postby Oracle » Tue Oct 26, 2010 3:28 pm

The British Government is finally carrying out an investigation into the mystery deaths of around 300 babies born to military families in Cyprus in the 1960s, amid suspicions of a high-level cover-up.

Some former servicemen believe the blame lies with the cocktail of inoculations they were given prior to being stationed in Cyprus, or that the deaths were linked to exposure to radioactive military material.

Thats is some weird stuff.

I hate the way the Brits cover everything up so dam well, and make everything look so polished, when in reality it is far from it!

The Brits have nothing on Turkey!

The Brits may have done some weird shit, but when you compare them to the Nazis and Turkey, then you can basically say that the Brits are not far off sainthood!

The baby deaths could be the excessive radio emissions from the radar/antennae surveillance equipment, operating from the SBA's for over 40 years.

The British families living inside the bases had "first hand" exposure since the emitting equipment are right over their roofs.

It won't be long before the CY Government announces similar "casualties" from areas close to the bases affecting the Cypriot population, not just the Brit military personnel.

I had a long thread about expelling the SBAs from Cyprus for a number of reasons. Well, here is another reason why the bases must clear off and BTW, pay the 1 billion in rent, still outstanding.

Oh please!

What hysterical cockwaffle if I may say so?

This is a tragic event and we don't know (yet) what caused the deaths...

You should be writing for the Daily Fail - nice use of 'could' in the first sentence and speculation of what the CY government is going to announce...

What rubbish!

At the moment, there is absolutely no reason why the RoC Government would not want these bases to be present and they are most certainly a very low priority due to another more pressing issue.

It would not be a very wise pissing off the UK to start with, and then NATO, US, Australia, Canada, and NZ whilst the country is under occupation!!!

Grow up!

It’s a fact that RoC villages close to the bases, hold regular demonstrations against antenna health issues.

That doesn't mean that there were health issues...

In Limassol they complained about the new 'Pluto' antennas at Akrotiri and the cancers it was causing too - before it was even commissioned...
