Is Cyprus beeing forced to take the snake out of the hole..

According to the latest new Mr. Jacques Chirac sent a note to Mr. Papadopoulos saying don't dissapoint us...

Are the forces in the E.U., that now don't want Turkey to join, using Cyprus and the Cyprus Problem to halt Turkey's accession? Is the sudden interest in the Cyprus Problem no genuine?

What do you guys think?

Well personally I don't like it when they remember us only if they need us.

Also if France, Germany, Denmark don't want Turkey they should be the ones to say no, not telling us to do their dirty work.

Cyprus should be independent and see whether to block or support Turkey based on it's own motives.

The motives are all self serving and the French have no interest in cyprus and they will be using her(Cyprus) to get their own needs accomplished, just remember this is the EU that called you backstabbers after the referandum and accepted the Annan plan and now wants to defend your rights at the cost of no solution and forever partition.
This could be another game they are playing but the truth is can tassos be counted on to be used by the EU for the gains of the Arrogant and racist French.

Its simple, if Papa veto's Turkey entry talks, he can kiss goodbye to North. I'm sure his aware of the 31% growth in GDP in North last year as well as the direct flights from US congressman and Azerbaijan.

I wouldn't go as far as calling the French arrogant and racist, lets not forget that they were first new democracy and had protected democracy in many countries in the past.

Mr. Papadopoulos hasn't yet jumped in these statements, I think he would maturely follow his policy so far.

France never said to accept the Anan plan btw.

As for the direct flights it's just a firework, doesn't really mean anything. And those congressment are participants to the Turkey's Friend lobby, so I guess expected, no?

Being the architect of the first democracy does not make you the most democratic but at the moment the French are going back on what they agreed due to Turkophobia=racist and every french person i ever met was and is arrogant hence i stand by my statement.

Also the EU has not stood by their promises to the TC and as far as we can see they are not worth a wet w**k.

The flights are an important development, Papa knows that it can set a precedent, especially when OIC and US are saying they are committed to ending isolation of the North. Also you have to remember that North's population is only 200,000, therefore any country no matter how insignificant can have a large effect on TRNC economy through tourism.
