A few greeks actually came to UK during the brutal Ottoman Occupation, around the mid 18th century if im not too much mistaken. They founded a church in Bayswater.

Yeah, Rowans in Finsbury Park.

Went a couple times....used to go there after work sometimes.

how come source got his jamaca flag?. and i asked admin for my monkey avatar and it not up. how long does it take?

Cause the Jamaica flag is in there anyway. Everyone could pick it.


btw, you guys should open your own thread on cafes in London. :-)

I thought it to be a nice idea to have this sticky thread so everyone can kind of introduce him/herself, but now its gone way off topic :-(

I assume "Tavli" is the Greek version of the Turkish "Tavla" = Backgammon?
