If we follow GR!'s, usually impeccable, logic, then once Turkey has flooded us with a few million Settlers, we should get the hell out of Cyprus (or whatever it is called by then) if we don't embrace the 'new country'!

Reh GR! - you cannot have blanket rules as much as you wish to appear non-hypocritical! It's just nonsense. Our brains are bigger than that. We can embrace more than one thought at the same time!

Ha ha!

Have all the GCs decided to wave either RoC flags or Hellenic flags for their avatars?

There should be no such thing as a “Greek community in Turkey” any more than a “Turkish community in Greece”, or a “Pakistani community in Papua New Guinea”!

It’s ridiculous! Either embrace a country 100% or GET THE BLOODY HELL OUT OF THERE!

Hypocrite! You are a member of the fuckwitstani minority in Cyprus, you clearly do not embrace the Hellenic nature of Cyprus 100% so you should be repatriated to the swamps of Fuckwitstan post haste, motherfucker!

I agree .... I do feel its appropriate that those who want to follow some of the traditions in their country of origin should be able to do so. But the emphasis ought to be on accepting the culture of the country you are going too.

I'll be happy to accept the culture of Cyprus lol

humanist i LOVE the irony steeped in your post. i FUCKING LOVE THE IRONY. But im not sure if you realise your mistake, either

a) you are a satirical genius
b) you are mistaken

but i have not been on this forum long enough to know which one.

Iam specifically referring to what you call "COUNTRY OF ORIGIN" and "ACCEPTING THE CULTURE OF THE COUNTRY YOU ARE GOING TO"...perhaps you could be more explicit in exactly how you feel about the situation. really because im intrigued and i want to see if youre a genius or if you havent read the facts, but i feel your intentions are good as you preach peace which is always good and i respect that.

Most female brains cannot think further than a mirror…

If anything, such a global collaboration would promote and secure indigenousness!

Cultural traditions and such are not an issue. The problems begin when a minority starts to abuse democratic principles (minority protection rights and such) and gradually turns political against the nation, in which case I’d justify a heavy hand.

that makes sense, but where is the relevance of that IN THIS SPECIFIC CASE?

we are discussing minorities in general yet missing the point which we are supposed to be addressing with the Greeks of Constantinople here.

Unless of course......you ARE refering to them????

The point here Humanist is that they haven't gone to Turkey. They are indigenous people and have lived in Constantinople longer than the Turks!
