Strongest G/C supporter and US Congresswoman to visit Cyprus

Postby JustAnAmerican » Fri Aug 12, 2005 1:09 pm

Just be on the look out over the next few weeks for this story.

Basically, the strongest G/C supporter in the US Congress will be visiting along with other Congressmen over the next few weeks. Unlike the other officials, she is going to stay on the south side of the Green-line. The others may break of and travel north. She definitely will not, she cannot afford to upset her constituents.

Just a note, the other officials are on an another mission and are funded by that cause, but the Congresswoman from the largest Cypriot community in the US - Astoria, New York, her trip is being funded by the Ministry of Foreign affairs of the Republic of Cyprus.

Good Answer. The trip is still on. The events should cut into normal news time, slightly.

Greetings, JustAnAmerican,

I'm interested, but I'm not in Cyprus. Would you kindly keep us posted?

Thanks.

Flitisa,
Will do.

I think it is going to be quite "a dog an pony show." I don't know how many cameras are going to be there.

I am sure the headlines will read (if any), American Congresswoman agrees with ROC administration concerning ......

It will be a positive spin, because the woman needs the G/C immigrants' votes back home. She must relay her constituents' message.

I think you're over doing it a bit. How large of a GC constituency could there be in America. Stop smoking crack.

wow...over here if a politician wants to get the GC vote, they would usually just print out and post a mass of Easter cards saying XPISTOS ANESTI.
