first off the land is not yours to tell people that they are not welcome, especially if it is the people who own the land.

and greekmaniac you are more than right. feel free to go wherever you please. however the turkish police are not very kind towards greeks. (i am referring to tassos issak and solomos solomou for those who dont know)

all i can say is that you tell your children hoping that they will tell their children your side of the story, for your side is the most important.

it sickens me to see ''greeks'' walking around claiming to be as greek as can be when they do not know the first thing about cyprus. sure they 'hate the turks' but thats what is expected from them where i come from. at least know the reasons why.

BACK TO THE POINT

why close the borders that put us int he same position the turks were in 3 years ago. they were frowned upon by the world for stealing land then refusing its real inhabitants entry. we are more than that. hold your head high. walk into you village. get your kid to climb the same tree their bapou did when he was 12. show your kids for one day it will all be theirs.

I love your spirit , here's the problem no matter what the Greeks do it cant be right in the eyes of the international community , the problem I have with the borders is that the money that is upgrading their economy is also helping the illegal settlers , and if enough wealth is aquired it will be impossible to get them out , (I do not have a problem with the natural inhabitants of turkish descent)

when i went to the other side my bapou gave me a letter. he said not to read it until i was there. i cant remember exactly but it went something like this...

(my name)

by now you are over looking the houses and farm that our family built. this is where the (family name) family has its home. there are people living in my house but dont let their presence fool you. survey all that you can see for one day my son it will all be yours. hate is a weak mans revenge. dont hate the turks. pitty them because they are forced to live a life of pauperism in another mans home.

the day will come when i will give you my legacy and then the time will come when you will take back what is rightfully yours.
