I'm not suggesting we abandon football.
I'm suggesting we support our rugby boys more, and extend them some fkn hard earned respect.

The Cyprus rugby team is under appreciated and lacks the required resource and attention it needs to achieve its full potential and obtain recognition.

The rugby team, relatively speaking would probably perform better than the football team. I was asked to express an interest and consider participating about two years ago.

Greetings from New Zealand, thanks for the laugh about facing the haka down, now you would have to ask the Cypriot players, do you feel lucky.
Oh, a translation for this haka, hello lunch.

Aint so funny now is it Kiwi boy?
It's done son. No one on earth thought it possible except ME.
We were born to smash the status quo my friend.

No matter what happens next, it's a done deal and a fact for now.
Enjoy. 8)

Takes years for full membership. Only about 100 countries are full members at the moment.
We have already been assessed by the IRB last year.
The IRB never in their wildest dreams thought little CY could rise through the ranks so quickly as to be in contention for a World Cup spot.
So now they're stuck in a predicament with WC qualification.

Oh, and the record?
Still stands.

*Note
We have been assessed by the IRB beginning of 2012.

A long time Bill.

There are 100 member unions and 18 associate member unions of the IRB, each of which are also affiliated to one of six regional unions. Membership of the IRB is a four-step process:[14]
A Union must apply to become an associate member of its Regional Union
After all membership criteria are met, including one year as an associate member, the Union is admitted to the Regional Union as a full member
After completion of stages 1 and 2, and two years as a full member of a Regional Union, the Union may then apply to become an Associate member of the IRB. As an associate member, the union can participate in IRB funded tournaments but not the Rugby World Cup
Following two years of associate membership of the IRB, the union may then apply to become a Full Member

Innit, if this was FIFA the RoC would be in the top 50 nations easy.
But we only formed a union 6 years ago!
