...so Trump orders the troops withdraw quickly from Syria, after having spoken to Erdogan on the phone. Should anyone be surprised?

While his Secretary of Defense resigns, Putin sends praise.

...the blood is on his hands, who he betrays, they will remember him a coward.

What a load of unadulterated bullshit! The man is an embarrassment to his country and the office he holds. The US is rapidly becoming an insignificance in the World, they just see no further than 'Make America great again!'. Whereas the truth is exactly the opposite.

The US has been playing both ends against the middle in Syria since 2014/2015 or even earlier, by funding and arming both Turkey and the Kurds ..... the filling in this sandwich was Assad and Putin. Then they saw what was coming and stepped out of the way and the US found itself facing two opposing forces they were arming racing toward a head on collision ...... and now they were the meat in the sandwich! So they make an exit stage left ..... no doubt leaving their weapons behind for the Kurds to fight their own battle.

The speech was a pantomime act .... and trying to create a victory out of a resounding defeat with a conceited display of self congratulation for the benefit of the dumb assed masses back home.

You were wrong therefore wgen uou calked him ....stupid, also wrong on Syria and the ....departure of Assad. You got both issues wrong. Now you are also wrong on the EU and Britains forthcoming departure, (it may never happen)
Think before you write.

The good thing about democracy - even the US variety - is that Trump (unlike Paphitis, I am not a fan) is transitory. He will be history in less than 2 - or at most 4 years. Unlike the dictators of course, who will blight history until physical feebleness or Ceausescu-like events conspire to get rid of them. Absolute power corrupts absolutely and all that.

IIRC though, Trump did campaign on a policy of withdrawal from both Syria and Afghanistan. Which leaves the impression that he's screwed, stay or leave. Of course Obama, the great ditherer, also came in for the same sort of Blacklistednews, et al criticism. Heaven forbid it should be interpreted as some sort of paranoid anti-west thing.

Even if Bernie Sanders was POTUS it wouldn’t make any difference.

The USA has its own Deep State. The POTUS is a mere public servant in a democratic system of Government that is answerable to the people, the Deep State, the Judiciary, Congress and Senate.

Yes they are motivated by hysteria, paranoia and anti western sentiment but the alternatives they support are the antithesis of democracy and accountability. That tells you everything you need to know.

In the USA, people like me are free to support Trump. The worst thing that can happen to me is some Neanderthal like Robin Hood, Lord or Miltiades inflict upon me a snapshot of their own intellect by calling me stupid, working class, uneducated, and all the other insults reserved for us deplorables. I prefer to call myself a revolutionary!

I rest my case.

Trump has got his second term in the bag.

Not just that but the wall has not landed him in trouble at all.

Oh and btw, Trump has created an economic revival which places them at the top of the OECD leader board. You are delusional and need to get your facts right.
