Pavlos has been training in UK. , Croatia and Australia for the last 2 years. Apparently he has rich parents to fund all this.

Do you still consider him to be a local talent if he wasn't trained in Cyprus?

I don't.

Hey numb skull.
The GB Olympic swimming team has been training in CYPRUS for the last 4 years.
Would you consider them local talent?

Do you have an Olympic size pool in South Cyprus ?

Could be the reason that they didn't do too well !

There are plenty, how many do you need?

It does seem incredulous that the GB swimming team would be away from home for 4 years in South Cyprus training for the Olympics.

The cost must have been astronomical. It sounds like rubbish to me. Where are all these Olympic pools then ?

Do you all think that South Cyprus has any more medal hopes to come ?

I'm sure that all you CF members would like to join me in thanking the British for organising a first class Olympics.

Also I know you will want to congratulate them on their fantastic medal haul so far.

Well done UK from all your CF friends !

With the UEFA tournaments in full swing who cares about the Olympics!

Half of Cyprus is at the beach and the other half is watching the football. :)

this is a thread for dealing with Cypriot medal prospects and winners not those of other countries where if I may say (I hope without opening a flood gate) I think it was a pity that those citizens of the Republic of Cyprus who live in the illegally occupied zone were prevented by a foreign power, Turkey, from joining the officially recognised sporting organisations and participating in the games as members of the ROC team.
