North’s new movement aims to save a dying community

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

When the TC's become extinct, the result will be one less problem that the RoC has to deal with. I say this in absolute terms because it is likely that as a comunity you will cease to exist. How do you feel about that? This is the main point of the original article.

Ok lets humour you and say we have dissapeared who will inhabit the north, who will you have to defeat in order to win the victory you so long for? no longer the TCs who shared something with you and feel you to have rights to Cyprus but a new generation of inhabitants who have been around for well over 50-100 years who dont give a shit about you or what you lived through in the past no sense of sharing, no history nothing. You people are really stupid if you cannot see that we Tcs are your only hope of ever getting back the north.

It sounds as if you have locked the bathroom door to slit your wrists and calling for help knowing full well that you have no intention unlocking it.

the TC's will be no more and thats all, are you expecting us to come and save you from your own pathology or something

It then becomes a matter where Settlers brought in by Turkey and which is an illegal war crime under UN convention will be headed to UN and we may see military intervention from UN to get Turkey out of Cyprus.

it is in my personal opinion that there will not be another war. As someone said in another thread, Turkey may no longer be chasing the EU carrot but it has been rammed nicely up her ass and things can also be done with that tomorrow. She may really need it or deal with an issue because of it since she already highly depends on it!

The EU has Turkeys thumbscrew, which will be powered by what the RoC is sitting on.

Don't forget the EU carrot that the RoC has over Turkey.

No TCs, just the Turks, that Turkey needs to deal with when the time comes, and she can and will. The remaining few TCs will just become a minority minority (not a misprint) in Cyprus.

There is nothing wrong with being classified as a minority, this can also be unique.

So now the Turks are becoming Cypriots, but you keep telling us the Cypriots are becoming Turks!

Its the end product you should worry about, not the mix.

Life goes on, you hate Turks and we are Turkish in origin so our viewpoints will never merge, you have to understand that the TRNC will outlive you as long asyou continue with the same politics which have brought to where you are today...not one inch closer to a solution than you were 38 years ago.

Hello the UN would never take such action, as they would have done this many moons ago but they understand full well that GCs are just as much to blame.

We stayed at home, listening to the rubbish Papadopoulos was feeding us, that the uprising was not really an uprising, but a communications ploy of Turkey. Once again we allowed the train of history to pass by without us daring to get on it. Why do we behave like this? Because we are not willing to compromise. We want everything, nothing short of total victory. This is absurd. It has already cost us almost half of our country and probably the future holds more misery for us. We choose to walk on the high grounds at our peril.

Am I the only one stuggling to believe this?

In the occupied areas, we have no idea as to the demographics or who voted for what, but statistically the TCs probably collectively voted against.

But I'm sure you've spoken to many TCs and they've told you exactly what you want to hear.

...the dying of this Community, are those with respect for Human equality.

the same dying is going on in Cyprus' Greek society.

...without Turkish Cypriots, there are no Greek Cypriots. the "Turks" will have left as enemies, the "Greeks".

this is the Truth, our choices for Freedom depend on our willingness to act as this island's dwellers, rather than the vanguard for a National identity.

...Cyprus Flags, if they fly them, others who fly this flag have a lot to think about.
