the new Greece (the new Europe)

Postby repulsewarrior » Thu Oct 18, 2012 11:30 pm

“I’m obliged to stay here. I have no other choice,” he said bitterly. “I’m learning Greek because I can’t escape from here, and I won’t go back to Iran or Afghanistan.”

...says a migrant, under aged. he happens to be from Afganistan, others like him, from war torn, subjected, Countries, have few options, a trip to Greece as a gateway to something bigger seems a likely course to the young, and the strongest, who leave. like America, Europe's potential seems enormous, it needs to continue growing, like Greece, perhaps in twenty or thirty years different because of this natural integration of many, many more moving on.

is this a bad thing?

...in my mind the Occidental world has a lot to learn from Erdogan's criticisim (even though it is very hypocritical of him), that it has no Moslem face.

is this the Osmosis we once talked about but on a bigger scale?

...and is not the European Culture Bicommunal?

Are you saying that you would make life in Europe worse for him that it was in Afghanistan? is this how you would treat all immigrants or just illegals?

I am interested in finding out what you mean by 'ive him a choice he cannot refuse'?

Only illegal immigrants. Illegal immigration is a crime and it should be prosecuted.

Hi Kurupetos,

How is that going to make the 'go back to Pakiland...running', I mean how ever bad a Greek prison is do you think it will scare them away? they have had to come a long hard road from some very nasty places you might have to deport them. As they can only be deported to the last country they were in I guess they will try again from Turkey.

I suspect this a cost the Greek state can do without - give they EU passports and watch them head to Germany/UK/Netherlands etc. Good bit of revenge on the stingy Northerners...

The European culture is bicommunal, and becoming more so every day. Its inevitable and in the long run necessary for the safety of the world

Were the non xenophobes will welcome them with open arms and treat them fondly and feed them and find proper jobs for them and house them and, and, and .........

I wonder! Why aren't the non xenophobes, like, lets say, the UK, DEMANDING from Greece to let them go there?
