Yes OK, a little plain-speaking then...

This "kktc su temin projesi", this allegedly Billion TL "project of the century" - it's all really a little curious.

For instance, at the mo there are 4-5 tugs involved in the sea-crossing part.

For weeks, they've stayed within 10kms of the Turkish coast off Anamur.

Below is a picky of one of those tugs.

This one of 150 tonnes tonnage...

(The largest is of 2500 tonnage)

Interesting that there is no pipe laying ship involved. Pipelines use a system similar to cable laying. Flexible pipe is joined on board and slowly lowered to the seabed, in a continuous process.

Also interesting is the delay till November, when winds will kick up and cause problems to the process. Anyone who knows the sea would have sped things up to exploit summer calm to the full.

And finally Erdo talked about the pipe being ready in "several months" giving no specific date of completion.

And while this is happening there is no attempt to fetch water by tankers and total silence on the 25million Euro EU financed desalinator. Strange.

Hi all . I have a relative working with this project . I have seen it with my own eyes so I can say it's not hocus pocus. The only true comment I can make of the whole conspiracy around the validity of this project is that both cultures have the tendency to have a relaxed disorganised approach to literally everything that is done in cyprus. The south is no different . I still have not forgotten the slow agonising process it took when the GC s were laying new pipes in larnaca . I am referring to sewage pipes unless they are secret undercover water supply lol. Only joking . Look come on chaps you all know our cultures are just flipping too slow, the heat don't help. What's all this siesta about. I wish we could have massive breaks you lot have in cyprus . No wonder nothing gets done.
