So where exactly has Cyprus denied any "rights on Cyprus" (what does that mean?) to all those groups of people you now rashly throw into the pot?

The police didn't ignore the judgement - he was picked up in the streets wasn't he? Where was the order not to deport the illegal immigrant? The article doesn't say he bothered to obtain one but he seemed to rely on merely causing a nuisance in front of witnesses.

There are thousands of thousands of illegal and legal migrants in Cyprus - and yet we have a total "Collapse" because one illegal immigrant never bothered to follow legalities?

The issue here is that the court ordered one thing and the police did another.

Quite so... I can't see why GIG finds that so difficult to comprehend....

Ding dong - get "migrants" and illegals right next time before you spout defamatory comments against Cyprus.

Ashiotis said: "I am surprised Mr Paraskevas is taking this position that we are not obeying supreme court decisions … in every case we implement the decisions."

What exactly is your point?

Are you suggesting Cyprus is worse than any other country?

Are you implying there is lawlessness in Cyprus?

Are you hoping things are hunky-dory in the UK you left behind for a better way of life in Cyprus?

Please tell me you are not that stupid ....

(P.S. I could play your game and fill your thread with pages and pages of cruelty and death at the hands of the British asylum system, but I won't.)

e went to the judge in chambers who said there was nothing he could do. Paraskevas then wrote to the ministry of the interior, informed the press and finally, the following March, staged a demonstration, all to no avail. It was only after a radio journalist invited him to talk about the case that his client was released, four months after the original court order.

Unless this man is lying, paraskevas, the Cyprus police were illegally keeping this man in jail for four months after the supreme court judgement..amnesty intrernational has cited Cyprus on it's treatment of migrants/illegals..'if you want Cyprus to be cited next to turkey for human rights violatios then stay in denial...Cyprus should be a paragon of protecting human rights...again if you turn in denial of these acts then there's nothing more defamatory to Cyprus and it's past
