My point is that just because you say you are a TC (on these forums) it does not mean that you are and your reasoning ( my ancestry goes back over 400 years ) is not a differential between you or any other Turkish national. All Turks who illegally settled in Cyprus post 1974 classify themselves as TC's. The only differential then is your Republic of Cyprus passport or national ID card.

For instance, someone may have a British passport but may not be English or share the same ancestry as the native English people. Everything else is a state of mind, whether that individual walks and talks as a Brit or not. An Indian Briton does not share the same ancestry as a Englishmen.

...vp doesn't give one dot for Cyprus, and if he has an ancestral home that dates 400 years, it means nothing to him; "Turkishness" is everything, not unlike the "Greeks" who have no attachment to Cyprus, but call themselves Cypriot.

Sir, even if you ancestry went back 40 years rather than 400, if you live in Cyprus and consider yourself, in your case a T/C, you have as much right to call Cyprus your homeland as anyone else. What I note nevertheless is that a large number of G/Cs and an equally large number of T/Cs refuse to call the island of Cyprus their homeland and the true motherland.
Turkey as well as Greece are foreign countries, to a lesser or greater extend equally guilty of causing so much havoc in Cyprus, with one nation still occupying a part of Cyprus.
May I suggest that those non- Cypriots move back to their respective "motherlands" for the sake of future generations peace and stability.

You have to accept what i say as this is a forum you may not be a GC but i have to accept your word that you thats the nature of the beast of forums like this.

Your thinking is flawed when you say that although my family goes back some 400 years this makes me no different from a Turkish national who has nothing to do with Cyprus. You may try to block it out but like it or not I am just as much indigenous to Cyprus as you are.

I would also like to add that our situation is more like the origins of the English who are from different areas of Scandinavia which blows your argument out of the water.

All this to one side in the greater picture this makes no difference it gives you no right to dominate me or force me into minority status by trying to erase our international agreements.

I am a TC 100% and love my mortherland which is the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
