probably lysi because the cypriots that where children then are growing up and even maybe accepting what has gone on and are just getting on with there lives...all your ranting and hatred of any one non cypriot is not going to change a thing.all those people that lost there land during the invasion are not going to see it returned in there life times......if it bothers you so much jump on a plane, come to cyprus and do something about it instead of sitting behind your keyboard slagging off everyone..

Are any cypriots going to complain about esate agents in the uk selling our stolen land ? or are you just all talk and no action.
Go into these estate agents and confront them about the fact that they are selling stolen greek cypriot land and property, or phone, email or write to these greedy people .
THE WORLD WILL FORGET THE OCCUPATION IF THE GREEK CYPRIOTS DONT COMPLAIN ABOUT THE OCCUPATION.

R u 4 real u think people dont complain?
Its like this a group of 12 people come to you with knifes and say leave now this house is ours What are you going to do leave or die?
You leave later u expect that person to complain to them about it?
They in return say if u got the guts come and get it

U can do FUCKALL about it because no one cares

GET USED TO IT TURKS ONLY FIGHT BATTLES THEY CANT LOSE

Lysi,

I hate to disappoint you about how much the rest of the world cares about Cyprus. Cyprus is so small and faint on anyones radar screen, they have the attitude, that if someone pulled the plug, the island would sink, so who cares. Forget about complaining to your and other governments by email, because you will be ignored. To get results, people need to go on to the streets and demand that their own government solve their problems by civil (peaceful) disobidience, by shutting down the country down once a week. I can assure you that, you will not be ignored. If the last 30+ years have not yielded anything from your governments, it's peoples turn to take actions on the island. If not, more the same for the next 30+ years.

What exactly do you want the govmnt to do?

Start negotiations?

Who negotiates with criminals?

How do expect a new born to defend himself because that is what Cyprus is compared to Turkey.

WE MUST DO SOMETHING

Postby lysi » Sat May 27, 2006 12:43 pm

The greek cypriot people and those who are against the illegal turkish occupation of cyprus can make a difference, it will be the action of the people that brings about an end to the occupation.
You can LOBBY, WRITE, FAX, EMAIL or TELEPHONE the UN, EU, BRITISH, TURKISH ,GREEK and CYPRUS GOVERNMENTS to demand action is taken to end the occupation, YOU can also tell as many people and organisations like newspapers and other media the fact that there are still thousands of refugees who are waiting to return to there homes.
ALSO you can complain to ESTATE AGENTS who are selling stolen greek cypriot land, also complain to those travel companies who are promoting tourism to the occupied areas.
DONT SIT BACK AND DO NOTHING, YOU CAN PLAY YOUR PART IN ENDING THE OCCUPATION, PLEASE SUPPORT WHAT I AM SAYING.

Only the Cypriots that are wealthy can make their voices heard. Petitions aren't good enough, marches are good if we are in the millions, but we're not. Anything else that I can do here in New York, let me know.
