The entire notion of seeking forgiveness will reward the believer with eternal life is flawed. In other words, it is ok to murder, rape and pillage. It is ok to treat people badly as long as you repent.

Kind of a free licence to be a bad person with a manopoly get out of jail free card if you look skywards and seek forgiveness.

You show me a population of people that look at the stars and universe like you do and identify this with God or a higher power!

The reason atheists like your self love to link God with religion is because it gives them all the ammunition they need to denounce God but I take that away from them and it makes them upset!

But anyway, it’s VERY EASY to test the existence of God with simple common sense:

The vastness and complexity of the universe alone is enough evidence for me that a supernatural power is behind it. Period.

Note that there’s no need for me to tackle the minor religious issues you've raised (take it up with a priest) because like I said… it’s man made and has nothing to do with God.

I don't have an issue with your belief or faith. I am not trying to prove you wrong or convince you that there is no God. As long as you remain a nice person, then that is good enough for me.

I can only respect your spiritual needs and requirements. It is such a personal thing.

But you are jumping all over the place. And you called me an Atheist which is probably my fault as I self confessed it on this forum a while ago. I am pretty firm as a non believer, however I can't be a 100%, so a more true definition is Agnosticism even if so slight.

I am a scientist Get Real. I continuously learn my craft of Physics as we speak. Never stopped learning new things in a highly specialised small segment of Physics. I don't know a great deal about evolution, pre-matter or the big bang theory, but in my area of Physics, humanity has achieved extraordinary feats which are mind boggling.

I put my faith in Science because it is tangible. For me it is this that makes common sense not some unproven theories and mysticism.

That is all that matters, other than being the best person I can be towards my family, friends and strangers. I don't need some institution to tell me how to behave, what to believe in order to gain acccess to the Kingdom of God for all eternity.

A quick research will show that the nations with the lowest literacy rates are also the most religious, as well as the most violent, cruel, inhumane.
Take Afghanistan, Mali, Niger, Pakistan, Siera Leone, Somalia, South Sudan and many more nations deeply religious. Surely this tells the researcher something. The more religious and fanatical about religion a nation is the higher the level of illiteracy.Eradicate illiteracy, educate these people and religion becomes less important in their lives.

As Paphitis wrote, in years gone by the Cypriots were much more religious than they are today. Education, education and more education has demoted their need for religion.

Unlike Paphitis, I'm trillions of percent convinced that there is no creator. Never existed. Hawkins is considered universally as one of the most brilliant scientist of modern times, until of course GR calls him a fool!!!

Stephen Hawking, one of the most brilliant theoretical physicists in history yet to GR he is a ....fool !!!

FOLKS, THERE IS NO GOD , TAKE IT FROM MILTIADES !!
But there are real tangible angels on earth, they talk, they walk, they do not perform illusionary miracles, but they are real angels. I met quite a few.

The biggest weapon against international terrorism and the only thing that can defeat it, is believe it or not, money!

If the West allocated the funds which would otherwise go to funding long drawn out wars, to build schools, towns and villages, to make education more accessible to the poverty stricken recruiting grounds of fundamentalist groups such as Al Qaeda, then the war against terrorism has been won.

In my posts I offer something you obviously don’t have Paphitis:

BASIC COMMON SENSE

And I thank God every day that he chose me to have it among so many that don't!

I have a very simple challenge for Steven Hawking:

Find and point to your penis unaided.

If and when you can accomplish that you can then start to explore the universe.

Is that fair enough people?

GR, my boy, you and I have been in disagreement previously....but right now, in response to this, I have to say that you rock!

Our only disagreement from what I recall was pertaining to Israeli foreign policy… no big deal.

Is this like Heisenberg's uncertainty principle, whereby, if he could point to where it was, you wouldn't know what speed it was going at? :?

We'll be lucky if he points to it first and then we'll worry about the speed.

I'm willing to help by explaining that if he were standing it would be about a meter straight down from his chin but given that he's sitting in a curvature he'll have to use Pythagoras’ Theorem to calculate the exact location.

I’m more concerned in case we find a g-string.

There is one very big difference between you and me GR!

You need mythology to make you feel better, whereas I am from the old school and have a very sensible sense of the world, nature, my surroundings based on science and fact.

In a thousand years from now, there will be other GR!s and Paphitis' who will be making fun of your mythological aggrandizement!
