According to Haravgi, last Tuesday evening, a mainland Greek oficer beat the shit out of a Greek Cypriot soldier who was late turning up at his post. The soldier who was due to finish his military service soon, ended up in Paphos General Hospital with injuries to head, neck and hand.

GC police is making inquiries and will turn the evidence over to National Guard Command for more inquiries to take place. WEEHEEEYYY! I bet the National guard command will give the officer a medal and promote him - How I love my civilised, free of Greek mainland influence, EU member neighbours! Deal with your own vermin who are harming your people rather than keep complaining about the presence of the Turkish army in the North, who have not made any threatening moves in your direction over the past 40 years!

It happens all the time. In 1985 I beat the crap out of a Greek officer and was court marshaled where I received I think a 12 month suspended sentence and 2-3 months additional service time or something like that.

Shit happens because sometimes men get on each other’s nerves, but using this feeble story as evidence of something other than two men slugging it out is lame!

I just remembered that as a result of the incident, the idiot from Evros (river region on the Turkish border) was given a week’s leave during which he purchased a bicycle and while riding it around Nicosia he somehow managed to get run over by a car but wasn’t hurt too much.

He in turn was court marshaled because at the time military personnel weren’t allowed to ride two-wheelers and he ended up getting transferred back to Greece to locations unknown.

What a twist of fate… he gets beat up, gets run over on a bicycle, and gets sent back to Greece all because of me!

Mind you, he was probably glad to go back...

No, no. He is driven by the well known huge huge inferiority complex of the Turks towards Greeks and everything Greek. Which drives them to go as far as to ridicule themselves claiming Homer is "Omer". And that all ancient Greek findings in Turkey are Roman (even if they date thousands of years prior to the formation of the Roman empire) if not ....Sumerian or....Hittite!
