As stated earlier, the reason GD were arrested was to send a strong message to the real "neo-nazi fascist" extremists which question mainstream (bank-based) politics in many European countries (UK, Norway, France etc etc etc).

And the message has been heard, loud and clear, and the weak-willed (not so 'ard) who value other things more than ideals and convictions have been quick to apologise and pretend they never wanted to seem so "extreme". Good boy! :D

English Defence League leader and its co-founder leave far-right group in move announced by counter-extremism thinktank

Who are this "counter-extremism thinktank" ? Are they behind silencing dissenting voices in Europe?

COLLAPSING PROPAGANDA: 43,000 Greeks polled and Golden Dawn comes in 2nd!

Yet another slap in the face to the political system and opponents of the Golden Dawn. The Greek people are sending a clear message to the rulers and the channels of deception that they are not buying their fairy tales. A poll published on the website tromaktiko, Golden Dawn is listed as the second party with 18.9%, breaking the science fiction theory about a decline in our electoral power.

The loser in this is New Democracy, the vast majority of Greeks have realized this scheme was set up by the employees of usurers. Please note that out of all the polls last year tromaktiko was the most accurate and came very close to the actual rates of the Golden Dawn in 2012 elections.

This is from the unweighted sample taking the poll from 43,564 Greek Citizens.

Syriza 29.7%
Golden Dawn 18.9%
New Democracy 18%
PASOK 8.7%
KKE 6.6%
Independent Greeks 5%
Democratic Left 3%

Eventually, this will all backfire on these architects of propaganda and lies. Golden Dawn will continue its fight both inside and outside the parliament.

Bill cobbett, you need to go back to school. Can you tell when the poll you refer to was done?

Clearly not!

Your poll for GD support ends at 1st to 3rd October. This was when the arrests were being conducted. What the much brighter Yialousa has shown, is that polls made a week after the arrests demonstrate more support for GD. One can infer that the demos is questioning the reasons behind the arrests and showing their disapproval of ND's knee jerk reactions.

(However, as I have said, this was done to send a message to the real worries, such as within the UK, and as we have seen, "leaders" of parties such as EDL are running for cover!)

Looks like support for GD is down by 40% and falling.

There is still plenty more downside as Greeks will not vote for this declared criminal gang, nevermind being NAZI fascist traitors on top of that!

Bye bye GD!

From what I understand the Protothema Poll was scientifically conducted by an independent polling agency, but the Tromaktiko poll was not, as it was a dial-in telephone poll open where probably only the active would participate and it was thus open to stuffing by party activists.

A lot of people would not openly admit support for GD, especially now they are under arrest and awaiting trial. I would guess their support is the same or a little higher. I certainly empathize more now with their current plight and I've just had it confirmed I'm one of the most average people in the EU, on many levels. :D

Let's face it, GD were never going to lead the country but they had an important message even if they shouted it when they could have whispered and had more effect. They do have a lot to learn from how "friendly" the extreme right wing parties of the UK have made themselves look. Even now, EDL is getting another make-over to appear more democratic and soft. Aaahh, Nigel Farage what have you started? :)
