As for stpier's obsession with his/her looks ... if you think some untraveled peasant of Thailand was paying you a compliment, then you are seriously having an identity crisis.

Without doubt. the Turkish "nation" does have remnants of the Greeks they stole for their looks and breeding. DNA testing can help them trace their past. A long-ago Turkish friend of mine (two actually) did confide in me they felt more Greek. They looked it too. It turns out there are a few Turks whose family histories suggest they were like some of these Gypsy children, taken from their real families and brought up in a strange Turkish/Roma culture. But what seems to have happened over time is that these people were/are more attracted to their own kind and so we see the development of genetic stratification/sections within the Turkish community. The more European-looking types, who tend to be the peace activists and intellectuals, and then you have the more Romany-looking types who are mentally slow and tend to politically run the country. :D

This isn't the first time the Greek Police have been praised for their good work in this sphere which requires sensitivity and care, of course. :D

FBI praise for Greek police probe of parent abduction case

U.S. Embassy
(ANA-MPA) — The US embassy in Athens on Thursday honored 11 Greek Police (EL.AS) officers involved in an international investigation that led to the whereabouts of three southern California children missing in a well-documented 2008 parent abduction case.

From today, in the Republic of Ireland... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-24626422 ...

No picky yet.

What a great shame they didn't behave more like the Greek police. It only takes a few hours to do the DNA identity tests. They shouldn't have released all this information and leave the family torn apart for so long whilst waiting days for the DNA results. I hope this doesn't lead to a stampede of such behaviour, commonly conducted by the British social services who seem to either work by separating families under false allegations or ignoring children who are in real danger.

This failing in procedure by the Irish police only goes to prove how carefully and well thought out the actions of the Greek police were. Once again, Bravo to the Greek Police force. :)

What an Absolute garbage post!

So in your opinion, the Greek police are better and the Irish Police have failed because they did not do a DNA test!

I am pretty sure that if a DNA test was required, they will do one after it has been ordered by a Magistrate.

Police in the Republic of Ireland have removed a seven-year-old blonde girl from a Roma family in Dublin.

The girl was taken into care after officers called to a house in Tallaght on Monday afternoon.

They saw a number of children, including the seven-year-old girl, who has blonde hair and blue eyes.

The parents told police the child was their daughter, but officers were not satisfied with the explanation nor with the documents that were produced.

The Sunday World newspaper reported that a birth certificate was believed to have eventually been produced but officers were not satisfied with it.

The paper reported that although the couple said the child was born in the Coombe hospital in Dublin in 2006, the hospital appeared to have no record of the child being born on the date quoted by the parents.

The child was removed from the family under powers in the Child Care Act.

I think its time the UK orders an inquest into your Higher Education PhD.

Just so the post doesn't get lost on you!

Why are you gypsy looking exactly? Why that dark skin? Is it due to the fact that south Cyprus is almost in Africa? Do you envy Burcu? :D

There is nothing wrong with the Greek police!

they do their job the best way they know how, and most are very diligent and honest just like anywhere else like the UK and the Republic of Ireland!

Naturally, they deserve praise for the job they do, such as in the case of the Abducted 'Maria' and for many other things as well as do Police from all over the world.

For once I think you will find she is correct in this instance!

Many European looking Turks do actually have Greek/Hellenic DNA which is where they derive their good looks and brains!

Sadly, you missed out in the brain department! :(

Greeks are not dark. They are olive skinned which tans very well in the sun, just like many other Southern Europeans in Italy, Spain, Portugal etc. In fact, in the most part, you can't pick the difference just like you can't really pick the difference with some Turks in Western Turkey who are closely related to Greeks.

I have answered your stupid questions many times over.

south Cyps are dark! Same skin color as that Roma couple. In fact, the Roma lady is slightly more beautiful than oldgreekwoman. You resembling Italians would be just in your fantasy world.

OK, whatever you say!

You win.

I suppose that means the TCs are just as butt ugly and look like the Roma in those photos since most are GC to TC converts.

Oh well!
