Brillant article Kanli bey,As a Turkish Cypriot born in Girne is against Turkeys interfearance inour bid to find a solution,i am against loseing our identidy,our inderpendance,Turkey as you say puts its own interests first,the motherland sent its citizens who now is the majority while T/Cs are the minority,most bussiness is owned by the motherland,i would like a poll to discover how many t/cs are left from 250,000 in 1974. I have allways said more t/cs left under turkeys reign

@Peter kypros Keep dreaming t/cs want freedom from g/cs and the motherland,turks will never be ruled by g/cs,we dont want to be part of any g/c eu.So you can forget that idea of turks being part of any greek cyprus.Turkish cypriots want they own inderpendate North with its own identidy,we can manage our own economy.T/c economy can recover if the embargo is lifted.

Typical of the greek comments to ignore facts were used to it buy now,they have forgotton it was them who voted no for uniforcation in 2004,now they are saying we can live togeather and were to trust them with our lives,dream on thessalonian,peace has lasted over forty years,thanks to forty thousand mehmets sunning them selfs in cyprus,they will never leave,its not a option.

Here is another confused individual. he is wanting but will end up with and get Jack sh*t either way!

He is totally screwed up. First he congratulates Kanli for suggesting he should live with the GCs and declares that he does not want the interference of Turkey and that he is afraid of losing his identity. And then he says he prefers to be with the 40,000 mehmets. If it wasn't for his english I would say it was Lordo talking. And where the hell did he find 250,000 TCs in Cyprus in 1974?

I don't know, finding a Turk or a TC that makes sense or knows what they are talking about is rare. A TC I knew a long time ago said that there are a million TC's worldwide.

It doesnt matter how bad you want to paint the alternative to unification with you guys the bottom line is that what is offered has to be much better than what we have right now...minority rights in a GC state will not cut it...time to move out of that mode and understand that unification means a partnership deal of 2 sides north and south joined at a federal level. Have you actually grasped this ideology or are you still struggling with the fact that this island is not just yours and that the TCs have just as much right to it?

Its time for the remnants of the Ottoman empire along with their "500 year history" on the island to came to an end. It is time that Cyprus was freed from the ottomans and the dark role your community has played in Cyprus's history. It is time that the neo-colonial-Nazi politics that has poisoned this island since the 50's comes to an end. Stop being a renegade unrecognized community, shunned by the rest of the world and make do with what has been reserved for you Turks in Anatolia.
