WHO IS ERDOGAN ?

We are told that our security and sovereignty must have Turkey as a....Guarantor !!

We must never accept this preposterous condition as part of an overall solution, our T/C compatriots must themselves realize that Turkey can NEVER be accepted by their G/C compatriots as a nation that will guarantee our sovereignty.

The continuing "Islamization" of Turkey must be of concern to the secular T/Cs who have never been fundamentalists of religious fanatics.

Freedom of speech has come to an end in Turkey where thousands of journalists languish in jails, secular army personnel severely curtailed, soon Kemal Attarturk's vision of a secular democratic Turkey will be seen as a curse, statutes of the great man will come tumbling down. Turkey is well on her way of becoming the Pakistan or Afghanistan of the M.E.

Turkeys relations with Israel are likely to continue deteriorating and that means also relations with the USA and NATO.

Turkey is a guarantor thanks to International Treaties. You can't change rules of the game after the game starts just because you can't score a goal. :D

Not necessarily. Turkey is a member of NATO and Israel is not. Turkey continues to be a key ally of USA regardless of Israel. High rank US officials continue to come to Turkey whenever there is a crisis in the region and not to s Cyp nor Gre so I wouldn't get excited. You are still nothing.

Turkey is not a guarantor for Cyprus, neither is Britain or Greece for that matter.

It's pure propaganda and a bare faced lie to say that they are.

The Zurich ludicrous agreements came to an end when Turkey invaded Cyprus in 1974.

Neither Britain or Greece, the other fictitious " guarantors" acted in the spirit of the agreement which they both signed.

The Cypriot people, G/Cs and T/Cs, must never accept Turkey as a guarantor in any future negotiations, treaties.

Let us have the EU, NATO, the USA but NEVER the invader and occupier of our northern parts.
