How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Shouldn't you be at a football match?

It's the same thing to the Turks. The Turks interpreted a BBF as a loose confederation as envisaged under the Annan Plan with effectively two sovereign 'states'.

As far as Turkey is concerned, nothing has changed. Eroglu is pushing the same old demands of Denktash with the support of Turkey. They never accepted a BBF and never will. They won't even pretend by signing a communique which they don't intend to honour anyway.

If the political parties in cyprus and the majority of the people agree on a true federation why cant all the political parties just sit down and formulate a federal model thay adheres to eu norms, human rights and the un charter and resoltuions and hand it to downer, eroglu and davatoglu and tell them here you go let us know when your ready to finalize it

Exactly, boulio. And we should formally veto Turkey's EU accession until they agree to do so.

The GCs would never take such a bold step because they do not want a solution and such a document would reveal exactly their one sided demands and no compromise mentality.

What do you mean? If they take such a bold step surely it proves they want a solution? Especially if it's in line with the UN resolutions and the EU acquis...

Totally agree, seeing they rejected the only plan put to a referendum they should put forward exactly what they think a solution should be for the whole world to see.

If they can''t agree a joint statement then it's likely this will be the next step. It's long overdue.
