indeed; toilet-paper, always/still talking about it, and "it" always sticking to you...

...nice to know my kind of thinking is helpful, and it is something you would not want to live without.

and just to stay on the topic of Turkey, the Banana Republic, a BBF is what the Alevi, Kurds, Greeks, and Armenians need, because "Turks" are like "Greeks", why you envy them i'll never know, neither merit more than Liberty, an equality shared as equals (as Peoples) within a greater State. with Freedom, as such, they failed acting as Nations, what without the other Nations, untrue. time will tell if your crap keeps flying, what is natural.

If a Financial Times columnist is writing an article with the heading:

“Recep Tayyip Erdogan is now the source of Turkey’s problems”

this only strengthens my conviction that powerful forces in the world (in my view, the same ones that put him in) now want him out.

Well, well ... another anti-Erdoğan article in another right-wing Western publication (this time the Economist) that not so long ago couldn't heap enough praise on him:

Shades of Nazi Germany creeping in:

“At that point, he felt victory was in his grasp and let loose the brown shirts more than ever before. Pitched battles were fought with his political enemies – not only metaphorically but literally. German politicians engaged in fist fights on the floor of the Reichstag. The Nazis terrorized the opposition. It was open hooliganism.”

It is curious that it is always CHP members who end up in hospital.

In its annual HR report, the US State Department is critical of developments in Turkey over the past year.

Here's a bit of it from Hurriyet...

"... “Authorities have not established a pattern of investigating, indicting, and convicting individuals accused of corruption and there were concerns about the impartiality of the judiciary in handling the anticorruption cases,” it stated, while also underlining the lack of laws to protect whistleblowers in such investigations.

The U.S. Department of State also criticized the Turkish police’s misconduct in last year’s Gezi Park protests.

“Authorities used excessive force to disperse protests, detained thousands of persons, including many journalists, academics, lawyers, and students during the demonstrations and charged many under the anti-terror law. Of particular note, authorities used excessive force in response to the summer’s Gezi Park protests, leading to mass casualties [including seven deaths] and an overall diminution of freedom of expression and press,” the report noted. ..."

The plonker now known simply as Erdogan, who we can no longer call PM or even Mr, would like it known that people contributing to this thread are...

So the US is so squeaky clean that they can pass judgment on turkey ? Wow a country that still treats blacks as second class citizens. Still has capital punishment. Every tom dick can carry a gun. This is the country turkey should follow as an example . Every country has its problems. The uk now are debating on using water cannons and we were the first to criticise erdogan on his harsh treatment. I don't agree with what happened in turkey but I also don't agree with the hypocracy .
