This is starting to look like in finance a bear trap,the Turks I think thought they would sign ,not honor it(as usual) and a ban or de soto or a downer or any other turkish Panzy would bail them out.however the Americans as always have a bigger picture than the Turks for the region and I believe genuinely want this problem solved.

The Turks gave out a lot false signals, now they have the attention of the key players who have deeper pockets and are much more capable. The EU, USA, Russia are all interested in taking care of business. They all also seem to be aligned with Cyprus's position.

The Turks are going the wrong way, they are over leveraged and their economy is tanking. Their political capital is spent, at home and abroad and in so far, only returned instability and problems with neighbors. So, I think it is inevitable that they will end up counting their losses.
