They are not worthy of a message from the Prime Minister because they lost and every Australian expects better than that. They performed well, better in fact than the Dutch, but they lost.

The Australian Players are going through the Spartan Coming of age ritual where they must heighten their senses or perish. They didn't perish so look out!

This team is very young and has a future.

I agree. Lot's of heart and lots of grit. That's what I expect from Aussie Teams and that makes them big winners.

They lost because they were playing a more experienced team. Make mistakes and you get punished.

But the youngsters are getting their taste of blood. That's the life stage we are at. It's a building phase.

They went down fighting.
