The Illegal Settlers, the New "cys", welcome Erdogan...

They do seem very happy, don't they, Bordo...???

... whilst some CYs were finding it difficult to protest, with reports of arrests and intimidations reported in Yeniduzen.

Some pickies from friends of a heavy presence by "police', described as forming "barricades", deterring protest...

WTF..!!! Thanks for the appreciation of the reportage, RW...!!! ...

Anyways, for our new members who are joining in droves and masses, attracted by this piece of aggregation and who are hopefully more appreciative...

To summarise...

There were a few arrests, people detained for a couple of hours and released, some small groups managed to evade the barricades and mounted small protests. Friends are also saying that people and groups who wanted to protest were deterred by intimidations and fear of later reprisals.

dearest bill,

we have been at this for a long time. how can you imagine that i'm not appreciative, (or did i get your reply wrong?)? i know my language can get twisted, trying to be impartial and as precise as possible, but surely you understand what i meant; you, your reporting is better than the results i got from google (no crowd shots, and the same single paragraph over and over again). perhaps i should be grateful, because what it proves is that Erdogan is no Biden, and that this visit did not even draw crowds to see him, in Cyprus, especially if there are eight hundred thousand people, as we are led to believe by some, who would be defined as "Turkish", living in Cyprus' northern regions now occupied by Turkey's Army.

cheers!

p.s. your/our "small" contribution, as in comparing the capacity of 'the big' news gathering services (to produce so much more print and image, (one would expect (i assume))). a Forum like this one, has immeasurable value, though, legions or not, topics like this one are original works, and as food for thought good reading.

once again, (and most respectfully,) thank-you.
