The most noteworthy triumphs for Tsipras:

Tick 1

Up to €50bn (£35bn) worth of Greek assets will be transferred to a new fund, which will contribute to the recapitalisation of Greek banks. The fund will be based in Athens, not Luxembourg as the Germans had originally demanded.

The location of the fund was a key sticking point in the marathon overnight talks. Transferring the assets out of Greece would have meant “liquidity asphyxiation”, said the Greek prime minister, Alexis Tsipras.

Tick 2

Debt restructuring
Greece has been promised discussions on restructuring its debts. The German chancellor, Angela Merkel, said the Eurogroup was ready to consider extending the maturity on Greek loans. There is now no need for a Plan B, she added.

Stop fantasizing please. Be honest this deal is terrible for Greece and for the people. confusingly you quoted and supported an article from the Guardians Suzanne Moore earlier today attacking the treatment faced by Tsipras and the outcome for Greece and now you have done a 360 deg reversal praising the outcome achieved for Greece. Which is it?

Yes I did. And it is quite obvious that you were raised as a Turk (Turkish name, Muslim etc). No native Cypriot would be happy about what happened to Greece since Greece is our closest ally. Only those who want to impose "solutions" on the native Cypriot people are happy about what happened to Greece because they believe that it makes their job easier.

I am not happy abt what has happened to Greece but I do not kid myself into thinking that Tsipras is smart or Greece has faired well. Infact other Greeks or Cypriots on this forum have been critical or reflective. Are they also Turks? What of the thousands of Greeks who have criticised him on his Twitter account and the Greek media are they also all secret Turks. How sad that you feel the need to put people into little boxes. So all Greeks have to hate Turks and see only the positives in all things Greek oh and I guess in your small world all Turks must hate all Greeks etc.
Oh to be a native Cypriot ...

What made me understand that you are a Turk is your support to the pseudo state in another thread and statements such as " It must pain you to see Greece failing and people debating her demise". It all added up. You are Greek-hating Turk and you couldn't hide it.

No I am a Cypriot and I do not hate Greece. I just had a fabulous holiday in Santorini and visiting extended family in Athens. I just hate nationalism and I hate the problems Greece and Turkey have created for Cyprus. Look at our history. But you believe what you like it makes no difference to me. You also need to read the press several crossing are open to the psedo state, even the president has crossed the green line. I support reconciliation and respect for each other. So I do not have a problem with someone asking for clarification re a Turkish religious holiday. You obviously do but I hope moderates on both sides will have the final say when it comes to a solution.Thankfully people like you and GIG and Turkish Cypriots of the same ilk are now an insignificant minority

WOW as Baroufakis would say re the "successes" of the Tsipras negotiation!

Debt restructuring was agreed back in November 2012.

TAIPED, the public property destined for privatisation authority has been in place since 2010, the Tsipras government was in the act of disbanding it, now it comes back as a foreign dominated but locally based entity.

Any more successes like that and we are really sunk.

The one and only thing that will save this country is a might move to liberate small and medium sized business, the providers of 98 per cent of employment positions. The rest is bullshit.
